      WILD on your back only?

I am not a big fan of sleeping on my back. I always either sleep on my side or my stomach. I read some of the WILD tutorials and most of them say you have to sleep on your back. Is it possible to do it on your stomach, side or must it be on your back?

Yes, I usually do it on my stomach and get very close. I've only had a WILD once and it was on my stomach, but sometimes experience sleep paralysis on my stomach as well.

Wake Induced Lucid Dreams don't require you to be on your back, no.

It's basically that you're awake and move into a dream with wakefulness, that's the only requisite of calling it a WILD.

I've had WILDs sitting with my back against a wall, so definitely not.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

I don't want to argue with tutorials or mislead you but I can WILD successfuly only on my side or in a position between side and back with head directed ~45degrees side. Laying on back makes me too alerted. I could many times go into SP but no deeper. Laying on side takes me there.
Feel free to try different positions and see which suits you the best.

I normally start doing relaxation-type meditations on my back, then roll to my side to complete the WILD. The myth that you have to keep from moving to WILD is false, as is the myth that you have to do it on your back. You just need to fall asleep while holding onto a small part of your awareness. If you can sleep standing on your head, go ahead and WILD that way.

I've switched from sleeping on my back, to sleeping on my stomach, to sleeping on my side. I have always had the most success WILDing in my favorite/current sleep position. Whatever feels natural.

I've WILD'd on my side and my stomach. It's easier on your back because it's easier to breathe, but it's not necessary.
