Thread: Anyone seen snow yet? (USA)

Being in Texas, no snow here. It did get down to 39 F last week though.

I still remember one Halloween when I was young that we had 2 feet of snow in Pittsburgh, PA.

My cousins live in North Carolina, and snow is a big deal there, so I am sure it is a big deal in Texas. Do adults like the snow down there? Most adults up here hate it. I am a kid, so I like making snow angels and snow men and such.

I don't think snow is hated quite as much down here since it never accumulates enough to have to shovel or make your roof cave in. I do get a bit annoyed though when I wake up and have to scrape ice off my car windshield. Ice storms are more common than snow. It will rain and then freeze over. That can be bad especially since no one in Texas knows how to drive in ice/snow.

Yea, but I am sure the kids love it.

It was snowing up here in Ohio for a couple minutes early in the morning on Thursday or Friday.

Not that hard though.

I am dying to see it fall, I don't care how much it builds up.

I saw snow awhile ago...

Granted I live in Alaska.

I saw snow a week ago. It was good snow, too. None of that "freezing rain" or "flurry" crap. It melted quickly, but it snowed pretty hard!

last wed. here in southern Ontario, it started to snow in the afternoon
but it all melted right away. They called for snow squalls that night but
it didn't happen.
By Friday night it was back to T-Shirt weather again, much to the joy of
the Halloweeners! In BC they have a video of a little girl playing in a
sprinkler on Saturday.......playing in the sprinkler on Nov 1st in Canada!!
That's just crazy!!

It's been really warm lately. Usually it doesn't snow until Thanksgiving here.

It doesn't snow here in Florida..

Us Georgians think it will snow this year. The weather's been fluctuating a lot, but it's mostly been cold in my part of the state. We are VERY hopeful.

School gets canceled at the forecast of snow

I used to live in Pittsburgh, and I hate now that there's hardly ever any snow. I think this winter is going to be good though, it's already getting into the 40s and mid 30s and it's only November.

a blizzard doesn't get you a snow day here.

Heh, come to Georgia. 2-4 in. gets school canceled here. And I'm not exaggerating.

Haha yeah, I was down visiting relatives and they got 3 inches and EVERYTHING closed. It was ridiculous.
Me and my brothers were driving down all these roads at the highest legal speeds and people were staring at us like we were gonna kill ourselves.
I only have a permit and I can drive at 60mph in 8 inches of snow without flinching.
You people need to get some snow tires, grow some balls and send your kids to school.

Whatever. It's not like we get snow all the time. Why waste all that money on all that expensive crap when we never use it?

I was being sarcastic about the snow tires... you don't need snow tires unless there's constantly a lot of snow.
