Gas prices up, Something’s rotten in Denmark

This is a story about Greed. Years ago before nuclear power was commonly used it was rumored among intellectuals that the price of electricity would soon be next to nothing thanks to the use of atomic energy. What happened was nothing close to that. Instead prices remain on an incline. Why, because of greed. People that have want more. I can understand inflation but the energy giants have been inflating at an incredible rate. There have been some discoveries and inventions in the last decade that have not been utilized. An example is the Fuel Cell. It is a battery like devise that in all practicality can now be used to power most vehicles on the road and other energy needs. It does not make sense that gasoline and oil products should cost so much. I think there has been a recent discovery of a source of energy and the oil companies know about it. Anyway we are all not as stupid as the big money people think we are except that we sit back and let it happen. What do you think?

Atomic energy is not a realistic solution to the worlds energy problems. All that wate doesn't just go away, not for 10,000 years.

Yea but the fact is, it is currently being used all across this country and we are not saving from the technology. It was bragged of twenty years ago that a piece of uranium the size of a cigarette filter could heat and supply the energy needs of the average home for twenty years. Someone profited over the last twenty years and it sure wasn’t the consumer.

You do realise that the waste is VERY expensive to deal with, thats where most of the money goes.

Yeah. Until they find out some better way of doing it without waste products (no idea how) then I'd rather they did a good job of getting the waste disposed of safely, than placing it in my backyard so I can get great deals on my bills, and grow an extra head in the process! That's why it costs so much.
