Thread: Heh, funny conversation my sister had with LDGuy

Ramu, that was harsh. Granted, that conv. was kind of stupid as well as a little inappropriate, but still. I'm not taking sides, but I'd suggest a couple of chill pills are in order.

Yes, I'm glad somebody said I felt it was a bit over-the-top before I did. I didn't actually find it funny at all, though. I sort of read it and then felt like a few brain cells had died from boredom, that's all...

Yeah Ramukatoanoeiksuskaka, you have to calm down. He didn't really say anything bad anyways. You just kind of... spazed out.

A) Don't try to ask a mod to lock something because you don't like it (especially when it isn't your thread).
B) Don't try to force someone to edit something else, their posts aren't a concern of yours.
C) Please enlighten me, what did Haz post that was out of order? If anything was out of order, it was you. And you think that "he offended LDguy" and such, if you look around this forum I'm sure you can easily find a lot worse things than people asking if another person is stupid. It really isn't that bad.

First Haz's sister says that her brother is stupid (no comment ) and then she asks if Brett is the same ('Is *your* brother stupid [too]?')
A simply 'no' would have sufficed
But instead she took it to mean 'Your Brother Is Stupid'
Is that what she meant? No... it wasn't..

So the 'hurtful' part was simply a misunderstanding, which is mildly amusing.

In summary - the only malicious insults are from Brett's sister, and they are simply from a very silly misunderstanding
Brett's sister should take a chill pill, and Haz's sister should beat her brother for telling her that 'afk' is a kock, and be careful how she says things...

And Ramu-chan - your reading of this passage seems to be a misunderstanding too

Precisely what I was about to point out myself, as soon as I read the thread. When I read it I didn't see anything wrong with it cause it made perfect sense she was just asking if she related with her on that matter. Then I thought it was hilarious how brett's sister misinterpreted the whole thing, and now 10x as hilarious how ramu did and how \"big\" this thing escalated....

Couldn't have said it better myself. Possibly calling someone dumb doesn't entitle that sort of reaction on any level. Call me or any of my friends and family "dumb" and you won't really see me waste much time or energy on it....

I don't know why the heck Haz even posted this. See, my sister didn't even think it was his sister at all. It's an odd coincidence that as soon as she says it's my sister on right now, Haz suddenly says it's his sister. Anyways, she thought that and so did I. Between the swearing and being rude, under the assumption it was in fact Haz just acting like his sister to disassociate from his behaviour, we blocked him. I suppose we might be wrong, but I still think he's just lying to be a jerk and not be taken responsible for it. Thanks for defending me, Stef. You might have been just a little harsh, but I appreciate it.

And to say something, I was very tired yesterday so anything I did on Dec. 26th, please disregard unless it was actually applicable to anything. I wasn't asked to lock it and was too tired to realize that I couldn't have if I'd wanted to. Oops.

Anyways, it is quite annoying when one edits their posts after a topic settles down so they don't seem like they did something (even if you pretty much said what you did when you edit it). I mean, I guess it is okay if you edit it when only one person reacts to it right after (if they have a big long reaction to it, you shouldn't edit it), but after there is about a page reaction to one post... well, that is just another story. It isn't a "rule" per se (spelling...?), but it is just manners. To quote a movie... "there isn't a rule to say I can't go up and fart in your entree, but I don't because it is good manners," or something similar. Anyways, that's editing netiquette for you.

Call it immediate overwhelming shame, I guess. Anyway, I'll remember that from now on...
