yes it does... my siblings are addicted to it, its a huge treat to them.

My aunt left me a really good recipe for it. But we're out of Saffron (which is expensive as hell) and cinnamon sticks so I haven't been able to make any for a while.

Chai Tea For All

There's two recipes I use...

This instant one for when I'm in a rush or am on the go. Chai Tea Mix - Allrecipes I add a bit of ground star anise in the mix... but you don't have to.


This is the better recipe, but it of course takes more time and is more expensive.

7 cups water
1 tbsp fennel or anise seed(I prefer half of each)
6 green cardamom pods
12 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1/4" ginger root, sliced thinly
1/4 tsp black pepper corns
2 bay leaves
2 tbsp of black tea
6 tbsp honey or rock sugar
1 cup of milk (may use soymilk)

In a saucepan, combine first 8 ingredient (spices and water) in a pan, cover and bring to a medium boil for 5 minutes. Turn off heat and let steep for 10 minutes. Add tea and bring to a boil again, simmering for 5 minutes. Add honey or rock sugar and milk. Makes about 8 cups.

My mum makes it every day. I like it, but only drink on certain occasions. I prefer iced coffee. =P

Ever had weed tea before Elis? It's interesting to say the least, it's a pleasant high.

Does it taste like how it smells? If so I'd think it wouldn't taste that great, unless you spiced the hell out of it.

A few times, I find it to be a waste of weed though, as THC isn't water soluble.
