Games>anime. The games were here first, anyway.
The original games (red and green) took five years to produce. Luckily, it introduced the multiplayer handheld experience, eventually leading to the awesome Wi-Fi DS of today. In addition, its turn based RPG system's balance is on par (I say 'exceeds') with other hit franchises such as Final Fantasy. And the variety most definetely topples any other of its genre.
The part I regret is that the spin-offs suck, and the plot stopped being cool after Gold/Silver/Crystal version. Of course, the game plot sucks in most staple games of today, and it is expected of any hit franchise to sell out with spin-offs. Of course, I continue to play only for the multiplayer experience.Abraxas
