      iTunes is SWAMPED

They recently started giving out codes on Facebook for 10 free songs.

Any Facebook user who is a fan of iTunes on Facebook can get a code.

The songs are from the Vans Warped Tour 09 Sampler CD (see above image).

There are so many people all over the United States clicking "Redeem" and entering the code and such that iTunes is swamped with data.

      Network failure.

Dammit, I want my free songs.

Guess I'll have to wait for the number of people attempting to access it at once to calm down a bit, because I just can't get through.

And its not just to redeem the codes, but even to change the category that you are searching for when doing a power search. Other stuff on iTunes is down, too.

~Open iTunes, see for yourself, discuss.

      EDIT:

      I JUST GOT THROUGH!

      yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!111@! !!!

      EDIT EDIT:

Midway through the code redemption process, it timed out and told me to start over and try again

      nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooo

That's it, I'm just waiting till later.

I use Limewire if I'm looking for one particular song.

I just torrent the whole album in the first place, then I don't need to worry about trying to find one song.

Or you can choose which individule file you do or don't want to download.
      It's quite simple really.
      Limewire isn't good for anything.

Which one are you more likely to get caught and fined for? P2P's or torrents?

      Record with Audacity.
      Profit.

If you're running into those videos with a popular (and muted) soundtrack, well, cry more.

That depends on where you live.
Although I think that in some states in the US (New York comes to mind) it's illegal to log into an open WiFi too, unless you have permission from the owners.

      no idea,
but identifying the location of a radio signal isn't easy
you need to triangulate it's position
and no-one is going to do that

(and if some maniac did try to triangulate your position, you could, in all probability see them out in the street, with radio receivers strapped to tripods, and cunningly thwart their actions by simply turning your wireless off for a bit)
