that doesnt really make sense..do you mean that on his way home(which is 20 minutes away) he saw the car crash or on his way to work(which was 20 minutes away from home) he saw the car crash?

honestly i dont think i can, but after looking over the riddle..the only thing i can come up with is this.

You never specified whether he was on the road or not when he saw the accident. He probably can see his house from his work, even though it takes 20 minutes to get there(that alone is very strange) He probably saw his wife leave the house or something and saw her crash. Or he could've seen the car crash and got binoculors to see who it was. He could've seen the dead body or saw the Plate number...i dunno...

does the wife have any medical conditions? if so, what?

did the crash occur between two cars or was a power source involved somehow?

if a power source was involved was it knocked out?

was his wife on life support?

did the lack of power kick off the life support machine... killing his wife?

was his wife a cop?

was his wife a firewoman?

was his wife a paramedic?

was his wife involved with the medical field in any way?

You said the man kissed his wife goodbye so she left for work not him. Therefore she crashed on her way to or from work and he saw it from the house. Right?

The guy is an ambulance driver, and when he gets called to a crash, he sees his wife was in the car.
