we knowingly elected a dumbass for president. TWICE. even worse it isn't the first time we've done this.

in american elections, independent candidates are frequently denied the opportunity to even appear on certain state ballots after spending millions of dollars on campaigning. we are fucking retarded to think that a bi-partisan political system which was only designed to support one system can account for the beliefs of one the most widely varied populations in the world. our entire system is fucked from the ground up. they we're fucking awesome idea's 250 years ago but now, we need reform out of the bung-hole.

We are talking about some of this in my World history class today, minus the cussing of course ( it's high-school the teachers will have a heart-atack if we cuss in class lol).
I agree with you on a bunch of this stuff, but what can we do? A whole lot of people in America are to ignorant to care, & yeah a few people can change the world, but by how much? If we don't have help we can't really do anything, it's sad but true.

if anyone has any idea's as to what we can do, i'd love to hear about it. i plan to go to college for political science. hopefully that will lead me to someplace where i can make a difference. if not i'll still try. i just needed to get that shit off my chest. i don't blame anyone for our situation.

Also, poli sci is the most popular major in my university (UW-Madison), and it's pretty much a joke. You're not going to save the world by taking a class on it.

You can become a representative with any major (my representative is a doctor, who coincidentally fights for health care!). It's all how politically active you are.


I plan on making alternative fuel cars viable, and not selling out to the oil company.

As for my choice in major, thank god that many people are getting interested in politics. there's one of those good things you were talking about.

As for saving the world, Fuck the World. i'm saving my children, and their children [neither of which exist yet]. if the world benefits along the way, so be it. i'll repeat, i don't blame anyone for all the bad shit in the world. this is human nature. we're fucked up people, all of us. if we're intelligent enough to realize this that's a step in the right direction. i want to change things, but i don't even know where to start. if you've got some suggestions on that, i'd be glad to hear about it.

about our economy, lysergic, is right, it is down the friggin drain, and once again we can't do anything about it(except legalizing marijuana)(jk) and i really feel sorry for how bad we and our future kids are screwed.
