Yes. 100 posts. Shows you've been here a while and have some basic understanding of the forum, though there are some exceptions. >_>
I won't comment on rules being changed in the middle. Frankly, I don't care.

Should we have one? How many posts? Why?
Can the rules be changed in the middle?

I believe min post should be 15 or 20. No more no less or it really just messes with the servers

Yeah, i put 50, but 100 is maybe a better idea, for you same reason.

I think 100 is excessive. The purpose of this (from my understanding) is to prevent people from making alts with zero posts and then using them to cheat, not to screen actual members who want to play. I don't see why having a "basic understanding of the forum" is relevant to being able to vote.
I think 30 should be plenty.
Thank you for making this poll, Naiya. Good to see that my unholy rage wasn't unwarranted.
At least 50. More wouldn't hurt, as it'd offer members the time to know a little
more about those actually being voted for and against.
I think this is a great idea.
This way somebody can't create an alt and start voting with it.
You can't keep the requirement too low, or they'll just semi-spam around for +postcount until they have enough posts to vote.
This shit never happens to me

You guys are gonna think I'm an idiot, but I just realized that anyone can vote.
At that, I'd say at least 50. Like Invader said, the people voting should know a bit about the people they're voting on.

Well, I actually think it should be EITHER post count OR time since joined.
There are some people who just lurk, but they join for the chat. Which is perfectly alright.

50-100 seems like a good range.

100 or 50

Having a neccesary minimum post count to vote would slow the progress of the game, increasing suspense and overall enjoyment.
I, the resident cynical bastard of dreamviews, say the minimum post count to vote should be set at 100.

Maybe a month and a few posts...
In the last game, the join date rule was in place to prevent alt accounts from voting. Alt accounts weren't a problem last game therefore we removed it seeing as there were members wanting to play who had 70+ post counts but joined after the join date rule. I think your "unholy rage" Invader is quite warranted
But I'll say this. Kyuu was/is NOT an alt and people continued screaming alt even after Tony said that he probably wasn't. Some smartass member then violated the rules to make themselves out to be some kind of martyr by creating an alt account and voting.
That's mainly what forced this threads creation. Someone who set out to prove their own point, thereby not playing fair.
-sigh- I voted 50. It's a shame some find this stupid game worth getting banned for.
Edit: I have been accused of cheating, reading the staff chat logs (big no-no), and creating alt accounts from several people. I get into the game (in character) because that's the point of it. It's all theatrics. But, over the past few days I've seen swear fights break out over chat and in MSN over this game. Some have even blocked their friends because they voted differently than what that person may have hoped for. Maybe this game isn't worth bringing back a third time.

Well, Jeff that isn't the only reason why some people would like this rule to come in. For example, how people know people. Easy judgement, and of course you know who to joke about etc. etc.
Slash, good point, I didn't think of join date. Perhaps accounts at least a month old can vote regardless? Because I doubt anyone had the foresight to make alts over a month ago.
Edit: Actually, hmm...last time we played the game lasted a good while, so I don't know. Maybe it should be either/or after all.
I don't really care about the game itself THAT much, but I think if you play something, it really needs to be fair or it just ruins the fun for everyone.
Let's do something that we'll regret when we're older.
Your heart isn't keeping a beat, it's counting down
Yes, as I stated in the thread I think this is needed. I'd go for 50.
And as for changing the rules in the middle of the game, I see no problem with it. Not when it isn't retroactive.

It's fun when people get into it, but they need to stop taking this game so seriously.
Oh, and I changed my mind, 50 seems like a good minimum post count for voting.

I vote for 50 posts and/or joined at least before August 15th 2009.
And seriously, people, it's just a game. Don't get all bent out of shape over it. Jeff, Ynot and myself (among other staff members) try to keep as good an eye on things in the thread as we can, and keep things moving, fair, and civil. I will guarantee you that neither Jeff nor any other staff member will make alternate accounts to get extra votes in this game.
As demonstrated, anyone caught doing this will be treated just as they would if they created an alternate account for trolling. Rules is rules is rules.
I'd really rather hoped we were past all this.
How about a minimum drink limit to play?
Can you see me now?
