I liked it, but I have only one question, "What made you think to make a movie out of this?"
funny you asked that, actually maaaaaaany many years ago, like in the 70's, that song was on Sesamie Street, with puppets singing itOriginally posted by Spoof

then last year, they did a tribute to all the old episodes, and they played muhnuhmuhnuh, so I recorded it (for future use)
then when Joe got bored, I decided to make him a movie, didn't know what to do, went through all my mp3s, found muhnuhmuhnuh, and thought I'd recreate the puppet show

now joe has new wanking material - and is no longer bored![]()
~The End II
I've seen that skit...Only, I thought it was on the muppets. It couldn've been both. Anyway, I got a kick out of it.Originally posted by OpheliaBlue

dude you're right actually, it was first performed on the Muppet Show with the same lead singer puppet, and 2 weird pink back up singers that went "doo doo do do doo"Originally posted by Gwendolyn

I didn't really remember that one, but last year they played a different version on Sesame Street with a similar dude puppet but 2 chick puppets as the back up singers who went "bee dee bee dee dee", and the song was shorter (can't find that image)
but on wikipedia I found:
"The song became familiar to many from its renditions by the Muppets on national television. On November 30, 1969, "Mahna Mahna" was performed on the The Ed Sullivan Show by a Muppet also known as Mahna Mahna, and the Snowths. Also in 1969, "Mahna Mahna" was performed on Sesame Street by Bip Bipadotta and two Anything Muppet girls."
I feel so cool for knowing!
