Thread: My Avatar Is...

thats pretty cool

mine is just some kitty that I found on the internet saying I HAS A FLAVOR

Mine is a picture of the sun, as seen through a yellow filter (picture stolen from a FWSE[famous web search engine] search). I would prefer it seen through a blue one, but someone already has that. Plus I wanted to try it differently.
I like the sun when seen in detail, you kinda realise that it's a burning ball of gasses, with fusion of helium and hydrogen and heavier elements occuring in its centre. A raging inferno of deadly radiation and heat. Not just a glowing circle in the sky that hurts your eyes. Maybe green would be a better colour... or red...

I love the picture of water, it is so damn cool. Looks like it's crystal or plastic or somehting. My brother caught a few of his own, that can be seen somewhere here. No it's here => (-)

i always thought it looked like the one penguin is reaching out to redirect his friend to the walkable section with its flipper...others think the same penguin is being an ass and pushing its friend in.

others think that penguins are incapable of such focused thought, or even friendship...but those people are dum-dum heads and should be ignored entirely.

I'd go for the "being an ass" option.

My avatar is Death, the Grim Reaper, a recurring chracter from the Terry Pratchet Discworld book series. He's actually a nice guy, when you get to know him... no, really!

I animated him myself by cutting and copying various parts of the original picture. If you watch him long enough, he'll blink, smile (open his mouth) and wiggle his eyebrows. I think I want to make him wink at some point too, but that may have to wait. At some point in the future, I'll make him wave, and maybe hold up a pet kitty (yes, death loves kittens)... he's sort of a work in progress.

He should definetly animate more. There's not much point working hard on an animated avatar if you have to tell the people that it's animated, right?
