For all those Skeptics of Telekenesis
Three of us decided to post a mock thread paralleling the same format as spirit's (and based on equally "convincing" evidence). My post was modeled after one in which another member attempted to offer a "scientific" explanation for telekinesis. The video we posted has unfortunately been removed, but basically it was a very cheesy clip of a cat morphing into a man (complete with "whoooosh" sound effect):

Incredibly, the joke seemed to go right over many peoples' heads - including spiritofthewolf! But perhaps the funniest part was when spiritofthewolf walked in on us planning the hoax out in chat. The chat software at the time was set up so that when you joined, something like the last 5-10 minutes of conversation was loaded into the window. Right at the height of our planning, spiritofthewolf enters the chat - and we absolutely lost it laughingeven though we were busted by the man himself, he still took our thread very seriously. Good times.

In light of my return to DV, I offer you the record of what happened when I came into DV Chat immediately after joining. The chat log is annotated at parts by.. MoS? I think. Anyhow, a lot of old faces are in this log and it's kinda funny. Also, this is in MoS's time zone, it was actually an hour or two later by my time.

And, also, I wish I'd saved the quote where Mark75 and MoS scared off a noob who walked in on them talking nonsense in the chat. Or the time that Xox and Wanted had hilarious cybersex to freak out a noob. Something about "A few gray hairs stick out of my tight thong. I smile mischievously..."
The first one is buried somewhere in the quote thread and the second one is unfortunately lost to the sands of time.-Ben
