I use PCs myself. I do because I know hoe they work and how to fix them when they aren't working or crash. Although if i had a mac, I really would have to know about that![]()
Wondering of your opinions on this..
I prefer the PC, since it is faster, you can create games on it, & it is a lot easier to operate.

Macs SUCK.
This is pretty one-sided but I definitely say pc. I say if you're into ease of use, go windows, and if you're into efficiency and reliability and all that go linux. Mac doesn't enter into it.

They both suck =D
But the PC is better... Hmmm somebody really needs to make a better piece of machinery and of operating system.

Havn't heard about it. Google and Firefox are allready working together. I really do hope they make an OS. Together they could drive that crappy microsoft out of the momopoly situation they created.Originally posted by Ynot

Most of you have probably never used Macs enough to get the feel for them. Both have their benefits.
PCs are good if you want to A)Play games B)Get viruses (assming you are using Windows)C) Use Linux Operating Systems reliably D)Build a computer with moderate funds.
With a Mac, you can A)Never get viruses B) Use your Mac for editing films, using top-notch art programs and such..C)Spend abunch of money to buy one D)Use the damn thing forever.
I don't see how anyone could possibly say that a Mac is crappy, though....Macs are of wonderful quality. Sure they're expensive, but you get what you pay for. With a Mac, you get a whole lot. Sure, it has it's downfalls: If you want to play new games, you are probably SOL, and a lot of Power PC versions of Linux are inconsistant with the hardware. Despite this though, Macs are very reliable not to mention beautiful systems. Don't down them until you use them and compare.

I use PCs, but I have used Macs enough to get a reasonable feel for them. One thing that I find very stupid about Macs is that you can't modify them; if you want to put in an internal DVD burner or bigger hard drive or whatever, you can't. If you want a better monitor, tough! You have very little choice. The mice are stupid too - one button. What the hell? They are only recently making reasonably functional mice with some kind of scroll ball.
I also don't like the design of OS X. It lacks a very useful feature of Windows: the start menu. If you want to run any program, it will almost certainly be in the start menu. OS X only has that crappy bar at the bottom/side/whatever with a bunch of programs... it could get a bit crowded if you have lots of programs. Especially since it functions as a taskbar sort of thing as well.
My sister has an eMac. A while ago she put some images on a disc and tried to load them onto my PC. They wouldn't copy or open or anything because the filenames had speeh marks in them. As far as I'm concerned this is entirely the fault of Apple's poor OS design. Filenames with speech marks would be incompatible with all servers, HTML, etc., therefore OS X shouldn't allow them. But it did and it caused major problems. Luckily, the programmers of Windows had a little more foresight.

Yay, Middle! It's so refreshing to hear some positive stuff about Windows!

I'd have to say both of em get their specifics functions and are good for it. Now it seems people donīt realize this but macs are specifically for several tipes of works, like graficking and editing, I work on mac all the time since I am an editor on an independent filmmaking company, there are also lots of grafic dessingers and they work with macs too, but on the other side are the other things like the making and runnig of the web page with the pc, and the filling and administrating also on pcs all of it with freaking windows, and on special investigations and theoretic searching or whatever those guys do mostly use linux and barely windows. Also most of the administratives programs we use were made by some programers. But In the home area I could say a pc with windows and linux works best for me since I don't do work but waste my time playing or looking at the web or just noising around, but macs works best for me at my job and I'd say a pc couldn't even get halfway with a mac on that area. If I could and had the money I would have a super monster of a pc and a quadro mac stacked up with 16gb of ram(a boy can dream) and probably never leave home and become an antisocial![]()

Here and there...
I agree with Sortilegio, whenever I need to design something I always use a Mac, it's alot crisper and nicer. I only have a pc running windows (uses too much ram with miniscule tasks) and it's best for... surfing the web... no to many viruses and I hate mcaffy... playing games.... way too much lag (but it has a much larger gaming library... but all I need is starcraft...)... but for a goof off compy it works great...
now let me inform tsen of this, he'll toss in his... 54 cents..

Should add I'm not completely against them; really like the small portables.
I dunno, I don't mind either. For day-to-day work, I prefer Macs. Games are for Windows, though, pretty much hands-down.
Anyway, I just prefer Macs because they don't try to read my mind the way Windows does. I'm sick and tired of Microsoft Word trying to apply "Smart Quotes" to my entire paper, causing me to have to copy and paste the bloody thing into another program and spend a half an hour editing out the mistakes Word shot into it. Windows passed the mark of being "user-friendly" a long time ago. Now they're just shoving Windows full of bloat. Really kills my processor.
But what it really comes down to is this: Windows for solitaire, Macs for iPods. Heck yeah.

ipods work fine with windows, at least mine does.anyway it doesnt matter which OS you have as long as you remember that computers are complete retards and none of them can do everything.
the thing about PC's is when you get anoyyed and start to beat them their cheaper to repair.
Yeah, iPods work fine with Windows, but they're made by Mac. It's their most profitable product, I'd wager.
