Move on with my life.
There is a national philosopher's strike. What do you do?
soft she stirs on starlit sand,
and clasps wet shore within her hand.
she turns to face the silent seas,
and through her heart, a vital breeze.
she wonders at this strange new land.

Move on with my life.
Who are the philosophers? Why did they go on a national strike?
Am I a philosopher? Maybe we're all just philosophers on strike.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.
Hahaha you win.
How can you move on with your life without philosophical guidance???Move on with my life.

Uh, philosophical guidance has never made an impact in my life, so....
I bet your life is an existential trainwreck.

I would think to my self that that was a very strange thing for a philosopher to do. After that I would rely on non-organized philosophers to do what was needed. How much philosophy could a country need, after all.
April Ryan is my friend,
Every sorrow she can mend.
When i visit her dark realm,
Does it simply overwhelm.

Read the profile: USA. And I can safely say that modern philosophers (a philosopher being someone who dedicates their lives to philosophizing) have had no direct impact in my life. They may have had an indirect impact by shaping the society in which I live, etc., but otherwise, I can think of no one who has had any sort of distinct impact on my life.
I just wanted to make sure you really did live in the US, because I would find it amusing if you really believed philosophers had no impact on your life if you are American.
+ What does it say in the middle..?
+ The American Constitution... how was it that they decided to delegate this matter? It was surely not philosophy.. was it?
+ What is this building modeled after again..? Surely it cannot be an allegory to the ancients and their philosophy. Surely it cannot look anything like the Pantheon or the Parthenon.
+ Surely we cannot consider politicians to be philosophers either... oh wait, they deliberate and argue based on logic, reasoning, moral values, justifications, and philosophy.
Edit: Oh wait... philosophy also argues the utility of logic, reasoning, moral values, and justifications.
This does not even describe the tip of the iceberg. It is more like the single atom of ice on the iceberg.
It is philosophy that runs your country.. and everyones country. Do not mistake that. The quest for knowledge is the quintessence of existing.
Edit:
+ I forget.. can someone please remind me what PhD stands for? Can you google it for me becaues I forget what the Ph in it specifically stands for? Either way, does anyone with a PhD really matter in my life? Oh wait... who are the white coat people again..?

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

I take over their jobs with my team of expert philosophers-for-hire, ruthlessly philosophizing over the sudden shortness of philosophical dichotomy, detailing my thesis on the state of the economy (namely how my personal economy has greatly increased due to being paid double what I'm worth because of demand, all for having a B.S. in BS) and passing out pamphlets of information on Objectivism, because even if you don't prescribe to that view, it's great to have an objective view of a subjective society sometimes.
Then I basically just laugh at everyone and tell them that according to my philosophy, every pair of pants makes them look fat. Because it is, after all, a subjective world out there. And subjectively, their pants are too tight in all the wrong places.

I've always found "you've got 80 years. Have fun. Don't screw it up for anyone else." to be all the philosophy I need.

Philosophers go on strike. Do I forget their teachings, all of a sudden?
