If you could be a master in martial arts, which ones would they be?

Judo would be first. In no particular order I'd enjoy studying Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, and learn to use the Naginata and bo staff. Just cuz.

For real-world application: Muay Thai, Wing Chun, Brazilian Jujitsu, and Judo. (Krav Maga is a damn good style, too. Pretty hardcore, though.)

For "badass-factor": Wushu, Aikido, and Tae kwon do.

And you can throw Ninjitsu into either one of those categories.

I would want to master hung gar. it deals with both close and long range fighting. It is the stykle that produced the famous Tiger and Crane form.

      Aikido...

It definately holds the first place for me. Probably because it isn't just a martial art... It's a study, in which you don't just 'do' techniques. You study the principles that lie beneath every martial art, in GREAT depth. How to move. How to deal with attacks. How to use your full strength by using your centre. What the weaknesses of the body are so you can exploit them, etc.
You might therefore consider it a foundational martial art. A base art upon which you can build other arts.
But really, if you master aikido, you've essentially mastered everything. Because remember: it's not the techniques that's aikido, it are the principles that lie inside of the techniques. In fact: most techniques in aikido can be easily made into bone breaking techniques, and sometimes even deadly ones.

It's awsome.. I've trained with a real master, one of the direct students of its founder, and I can tell you, that guy is a mountain and an eal at the same time. When you try to do something to him, he either won't budge at all, or he'll slip right through your fingers (or fist headed for his head) and he'll do stuff to you that's unimaginably strong, fast and yet effortless at the same time. And there's nothing you can do about it... He simply exploits your weaknesses effortlessly.
      Amazing. Truly amazing.

      That, and it's a badass art. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mJSH...eature=related
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCYsFPbST9w

Beside that, I might want to get into kickboxing, to develop well... kicky punchy skills... duh...
Judo or jiujitsu, to develop reflexes, and faster throws and takedowns.
And some sort of pressure point system to get to know the full range of weaknesses of the body, and how to exactly use them.

      Question

See that's what I like about martial arts similar to Aikido e.g. Tai Ji Chuan. Both martial arts are like a spiritual path and not just systems of fighting.
I was wondering, who did you train with? I ask as I'd love to learn aikido.
I'm already in the middle of studying tai ji, so I do possess some martial art abilities.

The pressure point system is a branch of a fighting system called "chin na" and I'm studying the tai ji chin na. If you want to learn more I suggest looking on the internet but finding teachers is very hard.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.

Aside from ninjutsu (real ninjustu, not magic bad special FX ninjutsu), I would have to say jeet kun do would be best, as it fits my natural fighting style and has the requisite leve of coolness that it's interesting to other people.

      This guy:
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-VqL...eature=related
Ignore the commentary... sounds danish or something...

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rK_C6...eature=related
Very impressive demo... When he still had hair...

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRfzoAUGRpY
He's a bit older here... In his mid-70s I believe... Closer to the age he is now.
I actually got the opportunity to practise this technique with the guy... (Not me in the vid, by the way), and I can tell you one thing (two things, actually): the man's a rock... You can try all you like, but he always has a superior position (see that guy struggling when trying to apply the technique?). And he always finds a way out of trouble if he doesn't. And although the effectiveness of the technique looks pretty fake in the vid (even in the demo when I trained at one of his seminars), but I can promise you: as soon as the guy lays a hand on you, you're done... EVEN when you're two heads taller than him. You can resist his technique all you like (like I actually did then), but he finds a way out. You're on the ground within the second.
And the great thing is: whenever you do try to apply ruthless resistance, and he smites you to the ground mercilessly, the first thing you see as you stand up to face him is a smile on his face... at your puny attempts to resist him.
      Awsome person. I love him.

If you EVER have the chance to train with him, DO IT!!! It's an awsome experience.
