      What's Your Real Post Count?

      I know you're all curious what your post count might be if Senseless Banter posts were counted. Well, most of you. Whether you admit it or not, you want to know. Well, I devised a system of searching, that sounds more complicated than it is, to discover the answer. I can now tell any of you what your real post count is. Or, you know, you could just do it yourself.

      All you have to do is:
      1. Start an Advanced Search, and in the Search by User Name field, put your own name.
      2. Make sure the Find Posts from field is set to Any Date and Older.
      3. Make sure the Sort Results by field is set to Last Posting Date in Descending Order
      4. In the Show Results as field, select Posts.
      5. Run the search.
      6. Go to the last page of the search, and mark down the date and time of the last post. This should be post #500.
      7. Go back to Advanced Search, and do the same search, only this time, change the Find Posts from field to A Month Ago (or whichever selection is closest to the date of the post you marked down. You'll probably have to sort through some posts here.) and Older.
      8. Run the search.
      9. Now sort through the displayed posts until you find the one with the date and time you marked down earlier. Count down from this one to the last post shown. If there are more, mark the date and time of this one.
      10. Add the numbers together, and if necessary wash, rinse and repeat.
      It's actually a lot simpler than it sounds. My actual post count should be about 1,864 by my calculations. I guess 1,865 now.

      I got completely lost, I seemed to do the same thing twice and get two different results. Also, I have a feeling that there may be some "grey" areas that I can't access between 6 months and a year. If anyone wants to give it a go for me and prove me wrong then I'd be more than happy to concede my ignorance.

      And also have a minion do my bidding.
