Thread: Yay stupid UK government

First up is Citizenship Day, a day ment for us Brits to celebrate being UK citizens. Spot the problem here? The UK has no citizens, legally, we are all royal subjects, which doen't mean anything any more, but it still is part of out identity. If we celebrated 'Citizenship Day' it would, theoreticly, end the monarchy in Britain because as I said before, we can;t be citizens if they are still there. [/b]

Technicality. The monarchy has a good history of bodging things up majestically (eg: the gunpowder plot).

The other one really annoys me 'Comming of Age Day' this is meant to educate 18 year olds of 'thier new obligations as adults'. The lady who was talking about it on the radio was talking as if all 17 year olds are idiotic chavs who can't name another town, let alone another country. [/b]

So, we might be getting 'Destroy Britain Day' and 'Let's show how down we are wit da kidz Day'. Yay. [/b]

Omg a day devoted to becoming 18? this will just turn into another excuse to hire strippers and get drunk. (as if you need a reason)

why dont they stop wasting their time inventing stupid holidays we will abuse, and use it to sort out the real problems here in Britain? how about, for example, they top making pretty flower arrangements on roundabouts that make up couches or planes and use the money to put towards homeless people/charities? itll be TEN times more useful if they put the£3000 per flower arrangement towards funds to help ease suffering or prevent it.

Voting UKIP (UK independance party) in the general elections. They are the party to break away from the EU, and are set to be a big competitor for labour and conservative. The EU has caused us some good, bing in a union like that. but i dont think we really need to be in it. It is blocking our trade up, and mixing the nations with immigration laws that are pressed into us. which is causing civil disruption enough as it is.

They are set to be the most independant party there, conservative/labour/liberals are all the same, UKIP is one that will bring about any real change. Should liven things up around here, anyway
