Cool! We used to do similar things back in the dark ages. Back in 1980, we had the old TI calculators, TI-59's, TI-55's, and so on. The thing that was interesting about them is they required quite a bit of power and so contained a small switching power supply.
When you held them up to a car antenna, you could hear the power supply over your AM radio.
Switching supplies change frequency as the power demand increases. So, no segments lit=lower frequency, all segments lit=highest frequency.
Also, it used to scare the crap out of people that were trying to catch a few Z's in their car between classes when you would walk by and place your calculator against the antenna.
Yeah, NERDS RULE!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

That is so awsome!
You should do one of those chase songs from the old Scooby Doo cartoon, and play it while your running from people who want to give you a wedgie and steal your lunch money!
I may not be the tallest, the fastest or the strongest, but
I ain't scared.
98% of the teenage population does or has tried smoking pot. If you're one of the 2% who hasn't, copy & paste this into your signature line.
heck, learning all the notes for that song would be nerdy enough by itself.Originally posted by dudesuperior
