then you'd be forever stuck in that plane of existance, in which case you would just become more lucid, and i would assume it could be a sort of heaven for yourself![]()
I was watching a news program where a man died in his sleep and it got me thinking....
What do you suppose would happen if you were having a Lucid dream, and you died in your sleep? If the theories of your mind entering alternate realities while dreaming are true, would you become stuck there? You could not return as you have nothing to go back to. You may not even know that you're dead, you just find yourself unable to leave the dream world.
I was just thinking, then what?
Also, if you died in your dream, you'd be dead for real.
The best times of your life should not be when you're still so young, or else you'll live a life always dreaming of the past.

Think broader, you'd be in the dream world, think of all the other influences besides you in there. There is evil in the dream world that does not rest. Not to mention a lot of other things.

That would be intresting to talk about. Its just one of those mysteries of life though.
A load of evil in the dream world? What do you think is here? Anyways, being lucid 24/7 would give you time to learn. Eventually you would be more powerful than that evil that does not rest. To it them would be the evil that does not rest.
Still trying to decide on a sig.
How is this: If you can't beat them join Lost soul.
DOnt forget about reincarnation..your soul is very mobile and goes were it has to go, so if you die, and you are not ready yet to ascend to the astral plane, you will reincarnate in the pshysical. BUT I believe we first rest out there anyway, before we reincarnate, so you would basicly find your way to your resting place I think.

But what really happens when we die? Does our consciousness still exist even if the brain becomes non functional. Would our self slowly fade away with our life or do we really reach that new plane. If we do, could the dream state possible be a way to transport ourselves to the transcendent like an esoteric?![]()
Where is my mind?
Maybe... when we die, we'll go into a permanent LD! even if we won't die in our sleep... it would be cool... and i'm not sure if you would go crazy, i mean you could just build up your world that you had while you were alive...
if that's the case i will join into a suicidal cult in a second!J/K

You mean like in "Waking Life"?
According to this movie, for those that haven't seen it, there is a theory that after you die you will move on to inhabit the dream world only you are unable to wake up. This is apparently what happens to the main character
At first the idea of being unable to wake up scared me and gave me some sort of feeling of helplessness , but then I thought: "I cannot wake up from the waking world, and I don't get that feeling of desperation now". After some reflection I realized it really wouldn't be a bad afterlife and I would think that it would help, all those that haven't found it during life, find the truth, or some sort of enlightenment...
If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

I've always wondered when people talk about their Lucid dreams here and they say something like:Originally posted by Truthbearer

I really don't see whats so scary about not being able to wake up... Its obvious that you'd have to wake up eventually, but wouldn't it be better if its harder to wake up? Or is it a case of irrationality ruling the brain during sleep?I couldn't wake up, I got really scared because I thought I might be trapped here forever.[/b]
These are the tears that I dream about...
I don't why people feel that, perhaps it would be better for it to be hard to wake. But sometimes you get this uncontrollable irrational urge to wake up, just to prove that you are still in control, and you are still there. I agree it makes no sense but its kind of the only way to test that you still exist in this plane...
If they told you that the waking life was something that you could snap out of, you could evolve into a higher plane or such, wouldn't you want to try and wake up?
