If all religion is seperated from government then why this?

Why is this on every piece of modern american money?

So true. I now believe that Christians are trying to take over the world and that is just another way to stick their foot in your door. But if you look deeper than the words, beyond religion, I think it says a lot about the world today.

I don't know if it's just America that has evolved this way, but I think it's safe to say that money is god. Without money our health and lives are meaningless. We would die because we can't afford the proper medical care that would keep us alive (this happens all the time). Without money we don't eat, we don't have shelter, we don'thave clothes on our back, even water to quench our thirsts. Much less neat things like a car to get us around. It's sad, really.

All religion isn't seperated from government. Government just doesn't promote one religion over the other. Since "god" isn't referring to any particular religion in general its ok to put god on the money.

What if I believe in many gods and goddesses or something else. They are obviously pushing christianity towards us. I highly doubt it is islam or judism.

Well if you want to say most of the people who wrote the constitution believed in christianity, then yes you would be right. They however are not pushing anything. When they say god they mean just that god. Any god what so ever. Most religion believes in some kind of "god", yes there are a few that don't but there really isn't that many, and I bet was even fewer back then.

They are separated. Supposedly... but anyways it says in God we trust, not in Jesus we trust, or in Allah we trust.... if you also look at the one dollar bill in the back where the pyramid is there is an eye on it. That is a pagan sign... the Eye of Rah I believe. It is also a sign very close to the Illuminati.

For starters all religion isn't seperated from the Government. I mean if they were then no one would vote during elections. Well from a Christian Standpoint this support in the American Government or any Government for that matter is not Christianity but Christendom there is a difference. True Christianity doesn't support the Government i.e., President of the US, Ambassador, Prime Minister..etc.. These are leaders of Nations and True Christians only look to worship One not several. (and that one is not of man.)

i do hope you all realize that the american constitution never really promises 'seperation of church and state' it promises freedom of religion, not freedom from it...im not going to reply to this thread any furthur, so if you feel like argueing me, im not gonna reply...the whole seperation of church and state came from a court ruling, court rulings are often overturned, and this one could too...as for the eye of rah of the dollar, that is there due to the illuminati...yes they existed at one point, its a question as to whether they still do exist that people speculate about...

So what we should change all US money for 1-2% of the population who doesn't believe in any type of god? Its no where near worth the trouble.

Thats what Im saying im SICK AND TIRED of rulings going one way because a few people get offended.. Just move on...

Again It was there from the past and it remains there.

I also find it EXTREEMLY stupid that some people here think christianity is being "pushed twords them" just because it wasent taken off. If you have a minisquel ammount of free will you wont fall prey to 4 words on a dollar bill.. COME ON......... JUST MOVE ON! I find it pethetic that people dont seem to keep their own beliefs in check and cant respect other ones. Know what you believe in, and any "Influence" shouldent bother you at all. But getting offended at such a stupid thing thats been there for over 200 years just shows where this country is really going..

      Ignore it.

If you're not religious, why would you care if it was there anyway? It's not like money is actually worth anything.

Yeah actually the illuminati does still exsis. They went from Skull & Bones to Lock & Key since the early 80's The TLC (Tri Lattarel Commission) and JAson- Formally known as illuminati is the Bilderberg Group. They've always been the Bilderburg Group. Some of it's members consist of the Rockerfeller family from N.Y. and the Hapsburgs out of Switzerland. The United Nations cannot even touch this organization because they are just that powerful.

Was not sure how to quote someone at first so this is a quote of Gestalt, not what I wrote.

      This is my reply

Then let it say in Matt Faber we trust. That is my name. Maybe I too can be a God. Why not call me that? Why not say in Satan we trust. Is it not the same thing but just using the other side of the coin. Or in God and Goddess we trust. I mean it really has no point of being there. How would you like it if it said something that goes against your beliefs. If it said in satan we trust it would have been changed the minute someone decided to have that. Really, you should not go imposing your beliefs just because some older people told you it was true. If you believe something you should keep it to yourself till you can prove it.

Ooh. So you don't think Christianity is being pushed on us? Ok. Fine.

You must be Pagan now. You will only believe and worship the God and the Goddess. If you do not, you are wrong and you shall burn in the hells for it. American money will now read "In Aurora we trust" and when you stand up to do a pledge of allegiance, instead of saying "One nation, under god" you will now say "One nation, in the womb of the Mother." How that for pushing?

Sadly, you are the majority but that doesn't give you the right to be pissed off when others are offended or having an intelligent conversation about this. I'm sure if the major religion here was something other than your own, you would be pretty offended and have something to say about it too. But then again, you're Christian, so you always have something to say about everything, don't you?

And it's not about what's written on a stupid piece of paper. It's everything put together. All the little things add up to one big thing. If I sound bitter toward Christianity, I probably am. I used to have the same sort of respect that I have for all religions, but some of the followers of Christianity are just plain fanatical and scary. You're sick of us discussing this? Well guess what? We're sick of your goddamn religion everywhere we look! Consider that. NOT EVERYONE BELIEVES IN YOUR GOD. YOU deal with it. YOU move on.

I'm done with this. This is making me tired. Argue all you want, but the Christians are right. They win the day.

      Blessed be.

i back lost soul on this. while this is an emotional subject and it's only going to end with people getting pissed on both sides... i'm a firm believer in separation of church and state. no double standards. no religion is exempt from it. but lost soul and i are in the minority... so sad, too bad, we'll live.

Ok, I don't have a religion so I don't know if its my place to comment on this, but I will say that im not offended in any way by it.It just doesn't bother me, I say the pledge, I read the words, but it doesn't make me a christian. Who gives a shit what it says, if it doesn't apply to you ignore it.Im not looking for an argument, im just stating my beliefs.

It may not be right for the christians to force their god upon us, but I don't care.Maybe im the only one who feels this way..Im not being hostile so don't attack me over it.

Nicely done Lost Soul! 8) Could you have crammed that argumentative bedpost any further up his butt?
Did you know that Christianity is the largest organized religion in the world?

Let's all just worship the Force and be done with it.

Its not the Christian religion. Most of the major religions believe in a higher being or a god. In which case they would have nothing against the word god. They are not pushing any religion since there are a lot of them, not just one.
