I can only imagine your words as something good, if you are the one who made the rules, otherwise you'll lose your individuality, because of so many interesets of yours you just can't do, because of all the rules.

I don't think human rights have to be listed in some constitution.
I think every constitution is a bunch of bullcrap, as it is nothing as the product of a certain group of other humans with a certain interest (and not even those liars have the same interests...).
Today's constitution, in America and most of Europe is pretty developed, I suppose. At least, there is no crap as Nazism anymore... so most of the people are integrated in the process of realizing their interests .... that keeps us away (for now) from stuff like anarchy - or dictatures .. that's the only good thing ... the rest - the influences - the human mind is from beginning of everyone's life orientated to live by the rules others have set up, the human mind that measures itself by the actions or belongings of others. By how successful you are in sports, or how intelligent you are ... are you good looking or not ...

But who is really happy?? Girls that put silicon in their breasts? Guys who drive a Mercedes CLS Art-Design tuned?? Who is really able to distant his/her own from all those influences making your interest look shitty, make you be not as good ...
There will always be things, people developed, making you feel this way, and if you're not selfconscious enough, you will always question the things you do and think..... which concludes in you feeling not worth as much as...
So ... everyone is alone, alone you have to justify what you do and why you do so, alone you stand when shit happens to you ... having a TRUE friend (and/or girl-/boyfriend) is probably the best it can get...
But because we are so alone .... we need more freedom, otherwise life sucks just more than it already does.

If we had total freedom, Anarchy, I suspect that Human Beings will at first enjoy this complete freedom, but as things start to fall to pieces around them, they will seek others for help. Groups will coalesce for protection from arbitrary acts of murder that they were prevented from doing in a governmental and law-based society.

People that are prevented from having something or doing something will have a stronger desire to have it. Even for the silliest of things.

If in the first place, there were no rules and frivolous desires, we might be able to get off fine without laws. Although I doubt this will work in huge populations like what we have now.

Well, their parents should have taught them better! I'm pretty sure they meant that everyone's voice should be heard, but only in appropriate places.

This is just my opinion. I feel that democracy is the best form of government that exists today. Are founding fathers did an incredible jog in mapping out our constitution. There are of coarse some things they could not foresee. But one thing they could have seen is human nature, greed, laziness. These things have always existed in our nature at one level or another.
This is why i fell a democracy can't work for an extended period of time. The people who take advantage of their freedoms will cause it to implode.
a true communism system is not as bad as it is made to seem. It has many flaws. But people need discipline and order and learn to deal with it.
That is why accountability is so imperative to a democracy. We just do not follow through.

I certainly don't have an answer for the perfect government. I suppose maybe a mixture between the two. But when you begin to dictate societies ignorance from one end, you take freedoms away with that.
You can't have both.

You could be right. I've head that tue communism isn't so bad, but people failed to execute it right, so it turned out badly. Someday, Humans may find the perfect government, and will have truly made the best country.

I don't know if that's not really about the constitution or more the justice system? If people couldn't sue companies etc. for bad quality then they'd have no incentive to have certain standards. I agree it's taken too far sometimes and I don't like ambulance chasers!

i disagree because only in appropriate places is a very general statement. an appropriate place could mean moving people protesting the president far enough away so the media cameras can't see them, just like the "free speech zones" bush has been setting up.

You can't have to much freedom. Saying we have to much freedom is like saying, we don't have enough slavery. Is that what you meant? People need to be brought under control of the government? For what purpose?

The examples you give have nothing to do with freedom. Had someone "protested" a funeral 200 years ago, they probably would have threaten to kill you, and if you stood there and provoked them even farther they probably would have. He may have went to jail but it wouldn't happen a second time.

Sueing people over stupid charges has nothing to do with freedom either. Getting free money has nothing to do with freedom. Getting free money from the government isn't even democratic its socialist.

Thats true, and thats what our government is based on. Every country in the world believes that their rights come from the government. The government has total control and then they grant you certain rights. Because of that the constitution for most countries are written to give people their rights and protect them from the government.

Its different in the US however. In the US the constitution does not grant us any rights, its only there to protect them. The people who founded this country believed that their rights were given to them by God, and that no one could take them away from them. So all your human rights are protected. They do not have to be written down and they can not be taken away by any law passed by congress. There are many people who will argue with you and say its not true but never listen to them. You not given your rights by anyone, your born with them.
