I really liked it! It was simple but very very pretty.. and when you hit those high notes!!!

Hey all,
here is a video of me playing the first couple of minutes of Liquid Tension Experiment's "State Of Grace".
The video quality is crap, but sound is alright. movie maker had a fight with my video lol
its not a hard piece, especially for John Petrucci's compositional standards, but i tried my best to make it as musical as possible: phrasing and dynamics etc
anyway, hope you enjoy it!

Nice work
May I ask what recording software you use?

for sound, i use Audacity... its freeware and great quality. does multi tracking, editting and rearranging...its good if you have your own effects or processors..cuz it just records your mic, or line input, or WAVE mix etc...
for video, my fone camera or digital camera...
i record em together, and then sync them with movie maker. it doesnt usually go all stripy like that though
if you have any other questions, just ask

Cool, okay. I've used Audacity before for some vocal stuff, but never used it to record before. I was going to plan on recording something but I don't have any great idea of how it works.
Do you use a mic or do you plug in your guitar directly into your computer? I tried last one but it seems that my guitar sound gets distorted without even having distortion on, turning the volume of the guitar/amp low seemed to solve this problem but it's kinda... quiet then
Take care,
Miles
