Wow, if those are from scratch (which I'm guessing they are) thats pretty good. (mean not the best I've ever seen, but very good.) Wish I could do that.
I LOVE being able to do all kinds of arts.
Are you finished the first pic? it looks a little... half done. the second one kind of does to.

The one of Jon Stewart and Aragorn, I had reference for, but when I started these it came from a blank photoshop canvas.
The one on bottom is my comic book hero. About a month ago I made a post called Aura. The character is that is the same one here, and the sword is the same too.
The idea is that the sword changes shape as his battle style changes. As time goes on the swords get more and more powerful, and as depicted below begins to grow armor up his arm.

Wow. Just wow. Those first two are SERIOUSLY impressive. The Aragorn portrait especially looks very nearly photo-realistic.

Lol, no but I could certainly do him next.
I just had an art showing today, and I edited the arm on the Fencing Stance image as well as the legs so that it looks more balanced.
I also finished the hair on Jon Stewart. Ill upload if I get the chance.

Woah. Nice work, WhiteUnit. I really like your comic book hero, and the explanation for the armor on his arm. I was wondering if there was a reason behind it.

The sword and armor is whats called an "x-object". This is an object which changes forms based on the willpower and personality of the person wielding it.
For instance, the person he gets it from (Luna) uses it as an old string instrument.
I have a picture of that too on my website:
StrayThought.Deviantart.com
When he needs to in battle he will change its form (say from a katana to a claymore). The object is also somewhat alive, and that is why it is growing armor up his arm. Because the armor is always growing and moving quickly, it may look like its restricting his movement, but he moves like nothing is there at all.
BTW, I know some folks +watched me on Deviantart on my old account. StrayThought is the new one if you would like to change that.
