      My Ultimate Lucid Dreaming Song

Here's my final project for school in my recording arts class. I wanted to go out with a bang so my mom's boyfriend (a professional musician) helped me record.

I'm very proud of this one... lots of Pink Floyd influence. Guitar and singing is all me. Mom's boyfriend played bass and inserted the drums. Plus he did all the editting.

Even better, this song is about LDing! See if you can nail down what's going on.

The link is here, if you want a direct download. If you don't, just click here to stream.

And PLEASE, tell me what you think. This is unlike anything I've done before and I was extremely proud of it.

Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and gray,
Look out on a summers day,
with eyes that know the darkness of my soul.

Thank you guys. Wonder if this song would have ever came about if I never discovered lucid dreaming, or continued the motivation for it. Makes you think... this could've been a completely different song.

Anyways, you guys are awesome, thanks.

What tha Hell? I could have sworn I replied to this, last night. (and yes, it was before I went to bed, so I know I didn't dream it. )

      Anyway: Nice work, Cold!
As far as the writing, I love the first verse! All of the instrumentation sounds great, and the vocals are good, but I feel there is something that can prove upon the vocal part just slightly. It's hard to put my finger on. (It's definitely nothing major. It already sounds good. I'm just being critical.) You are in tune, throughout, but I think you should let your notes ring a little more. I know the singing in the song is supposed to be low, and not that powerful, but it seems audible that you are holding yourself back a little, trying to tone it down. Hell, I dunno if that even makes any sense. Sometimes it's really hard to express what you are hearing, vocally. I'm sure you can understand that.

      Overall, though. Great song.
      Can't wait to hear more.

This was done quite a while ago, and before my cousins who are my amazing singers showed me the difference between singing between my stomach and throat. In the song I'd sometimes cut the note short because I was on the verge of losing all my air.

Haha, of course. :p Although this song was also recorded and mixed in a matter of two days, I think it turned out pretty good.

Thanks, man, imagine if I had weeks to work on a song? That's why I want to own a recording studio when I'm older.

      Thanks again.
