I woke up at 5:30 this morning and could not fall back asleep, so I got up and read until about 6:15, took a shower, and by that time most everyone was up. Good times!

*loves her new retro theater-style popcorn popper* It's awesome!

Anyone get anything good for christmas here?

I told mom that the only thing I wanted was a GPS. I get horribly, horribly lost sometimes. Like one time I went to a wedding in some town I didn't know. I found the road I needed, but went the wrong way on it and ended up in frickin' Indiana. I didn't get home until 2 am, and I was all worried because I was still a minor. You know, curfew laws. Oh, I also hit a raccoon. Only animal I've run over.

So, I got a sweet GPS with a big screen and a couple little things. My aunt and uncle gave me a tiny xmas tree with rolled up dollar bills on it (a "money tree"). And then my friend gave me some random stuff and a cool blue Indian lantern thingy. It reminds me of the circus.

Tomorrow is my friend's birthday!

The best thing I ever bought myself was a GPS! I can get lost in my own neighborhood so it was wonderful to have something that not only would show me turn by turn how to get somewhere but that also "talks" to me! ..

I had a dodgy christmas. It was alright. But I feel bad when my mum gets me shit presents. lol. I feel like it's a waste of money. She got Parallels which is for Mac and it lets you run Windows as well. The thing is, I don't need it at all. Plus it's version 3 and version 4 is already out which has all these other features which are kinda what I do need lol. I sound so much like a spoiled kid but it's not that. I just feel like she wasted her money y'know?
anyway....

Saw my auntie and she is out of the psych ward now.
Saw the rest of my family too includng my two cousins I barely ever see.
So yeh that made me happy.

At least it sounds like she tried! Did you let her know that there was a later version out? Maybe she wouldn't mind if you returned the one she got you and got the later version since it does seem like she's trying to get you what she thinks you'd like.

I wish I could take this week off

But I had a great five-day weekend! I played Settlers of Catan with my parents and sister a total of about nine or ten times and won five. I'm happy, but I think my dad's finally figuring out how to play it (aka. work the system + play dumb + occasionally cheat). Here's hoping for more!
