For thousands of years, human beings had screwed up and and trashed and crapped on this planet, and now history expected me to clean up after everyone.
I have to wash out and flatten my soup cans. And account for every drop of used motor oil. And I have to foot the bill for nuclear waste and buried gasoline tanks and land filled toxic sludge dumped a generation before I was born.

First things firsttimes 100 for all of you
Second -just got back from Doc again! This time found out that I have a double ear infection, double conjunctivitis (pink eye) and a sinus infection all due to the after effects of swine flu!

I would hug you guys, but I have the flu right now and I don't know what type of flu it is. Sorry.

I made a pineapple upside-down cake and a tray of brownies. I've been having bake sales each week at church to raise money for my trip to Russia. Only another $5600 to goI'm going to go, though, even if I haven't raised the full amount. I can still pay the rest back afterwards... I just won't have any money to move when I get back to the states
I've been doing a bit of cooking these last few weeks and I've made some pretty tasty things, care of the Food Network recipes. I made some seared Ahi tuna with a rub of Chinese Five Spice and McCormick's steak seasoning. Then I made a fresh rosemary and garlic roasted chicken and roast vegetables turned out fabulous, except I learned that asparagus should not be roasted in the chicken grease. It still tasted good, though. I also made my own ramen with some store-bought Udon noodles and my own home-made shitaki mushroom stock with some crimini mushrooms and tofu as an experiment. Some time this week I'll be making chicken breasts stuffed with blue cheese (or monterey jack for my mom) and bacon, and then dipped in honey mustard and coated with a mix of chopped pecans and crushed corn flakes.
Man! Food is fun! SeriouslyI can't wait until the farmer's market starts up again so I can get some apples for my apple cider crisp.
I wish you all the best Monday ever! If it's not, see the extra hugs...
And...
