You have to be here for at least 2 weeks, although I can help you with falling asleep.
Hello, this tis my humble request to be adopted by anybody. Anybody at all. However, somebody with experience with insomnia, specifically trouble falling asleep, would probably be able to relate a bit more.
Anyways: my STATS:
Total Dreams: lots until I was age 12
Lucid Dreams: 3
I had my first a year ago; it was really a scary dream where I was running down a tunnel with a light at the end. I felt like something was chasing me. I thought to myself, why am I running yet not moving closer to that light? I thus had a LD, but awakened immediately. My second happened a week later and was really strange, but really... enjoyable! I'll tell more if you really wanna know; let's just say the events in the dream were enough to give me a LD. I wakened as soon as I knew I was dreaming again.
I was cramming for exams that week, so I don't know if they actually helped me LD. My third happened unfortunately 9 months late, but it was finally one where I realized I was dreaming early! I was at my Aunt's house, and I tried flying, succeeding twice. It must have lasted 15 minutes! WOOHOO! This is my only LD where I had complete control of myself, though I wasn't able to change my environment. I didn't want to!
Please adopt! If you don't, they'll put me to sleep!!! Wait, that would be good... nevermind...![]()

Currently training to master WILD.
LDs: 300+ probably
Thanks for your reply, and sorry bout the delayed response. I had gotten the idea that nobody read the adoption forum, seeing as it's a bunch of noobs like me asking for help outside the "newbie zone". lol
If you have any methods or ideas about helping with insomnia, I'd be very grateful! It's been a long search to find a site with this many people both knowledgeable AND willing to help. Oh, yeah, lucid dreams 'r nice too!, but maybe I'll try that later, after sleeping.
Also, I didn't know about the two-week rule. Stupitt me!![]()

Man, you are my true opposite...
I have no idea what the word insomnia means at all...![]()
I'm trying to WILD, but I actually don't "fall asleep", I "crumble asleep"...![]()
Anyway, good luck finding an expert.
LD: 1 (A very short one...heheh)
The grass is always greener, eh?![]()
I guess falling asleep TOO quickly could be a problem as well, but it seems like most "expert" lucid dreamers if not all, are the ones that fall asleep on the spot. They can time their REM periods better, practice a lot more often (More sleep = more practice), and just generally seem more easygoing. Hell, they can fall asleep!
I'm not trying to throw a tantrum here; I want to help as many people as I can, but I'm at my wits end here, which is why I came here, really.
I'm convinced I could LD very easily if I fall asleep in a decent time frame, which is to me 15 min. The crazy thing is, I used to be able to fall asleep withing 15min EASY, kind of like you, Zandargo! If I ever learn how to fix this, I will literally devote every resource available to helping other insomniacs. It really sucks the fun out of your day....
OK, done being depressed now!I will definately be here for two weeks. Heck, you won't be able to get RID of me! MUHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHA HA HA!

I used to be able to fall asleep in 5 minutes easy too, and now I'm up to 40![]()
Ok, I've been a member of Dream Views for over 2 months now, so I'm eligible for adoption.
Paleeze, any willing mentors out there in search of a willing apprentice!
