Thread: seeking adopter, please read :P

Hi everyone. Not really sure what's supposed to go here, so I guess I'll give a brief history of my dreaming experiences and what I'm after. But first, a little about myself.

My name is Jonti, I'm 19 (is that a bit old to be an adoptee? I hope not). I live in Sydney, Aus, and am currently at University enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts.

I have been attaining lucidity (acknowledging the fact I'm dreaming) ever since I can remember, although it was not until watching Waking Life a few years ago (and doing some subsequent research) that I realized the extent to which I could exercise control over the dream. Prior to that, I more or less let the dream run its course, interfering only to escape dangerous situations.

However, once aware of the possibilities, my dreaming became much more sporadic. Most of the times I realized I was dreaming I became too excited and woke up prematurely. Sleep and dreaming had, up until this point, been my favourite pastimes in the world.

Long story short: At one time I was an avid dreamer with little power over his dreams but with relatively good dream recollection. At the moment, I am unable to recall any of my dreams, let alone attain lucidity.

I guess what I'm looking for in an adopter is initially someone experienced with dream recollection (someone who had to work at it, or was not a natural), or an adopter who has successfully guided another newbie through similar issues. After recollection is no longer an issue, I would like to work on attaining lucidity and, most importantly, lengthening the dreams in which I attain it. Ultimately, my long-term goal is to be able to successfully complete the tasks listed on this website each month, and perhaps some day adopt a newbie of my own, as I understand the frustration in losing the ability to dream

I assume that this is a particularly long-winded adoption request, so thanks to anyone who read it through regardless of whether or not you have any interest in adopting me. I hope that the fact that this request is so long is evidence that I don't plan to disappear.
