      Bewitched

Some background about myself. I am a middle aged professional with my own firm, and I have two offices - one is my full-time office, and the other is just in a different part of town, where I just go to meet clients, but I'm thinking of making that one a full-time one, because business is quite good.

To go off topic, one of my favorite shows in the 60's and 70's was Bewitched (brings back memories, doesn't it?) That TV series starred Elizabeth Montgomery, who was both Samantha, the main character good witch, and Serena, the cousin of Samantha who was quite mischievous. I enjoyed the series, but I was never a die-hard fan, and until tonight's dream, I never even thought of it.

With that in mind, I just had a dream where Serena came into my business. I was in a house which has no counterpart in the so-called real world. It seemed to be one of my offices, and it felt like a new office. My two assistants were with me, along with my father. Then, Serena came into the house, wearing the typical black witch's dress - quite nice on her - and she said she was going to be our aunt. We cheered at that, and I especially did that, since the witch (played by Elizabeth Montgomery) is/was good looking. She then looked at the large wall-sized window, said there was a spot, and quickly cleaned it.

Everyone go to talking as to how we were going to renovate the house. We knew there were three bedrooms on the ground floor, and I used the middle one as an office. We then discussed how we were going to rearrange the house, and we agreed that we would use all three bed rooms, because there were three more bedrooms upstairs that could be used to accomodate the guests who slept over. We then went to the first bedroom, on the ground floor next to the front, to see what we could do with it. We decided that I would keep the middle bedroom as my office, use the last one as a storage room, but we weren't sure if we would want this front bedroom as a second office, or just a conference room. Serena drew the curtains to that room's window, which was again wall to wall glass, and we saw a beautiful scene, with the entire city, mountains, and ocean right before us. I then said that we really needed her. Even as I write this, I can remember that feeling of happiness.

We went back to the living area, which seemed to be a living room like the one in the TV series, and I put my right arm around her. I asked if I could tell her secret, that she was really the actress who also played Serena's cousin. The witch laughed and said no, let it be a secret.

Then the dream took a different turn. My secretaries and I went to the other end of this rather large house, and opened a drawer. There was some money in it, and we took it out I remember seeing some American currency, some coupons, and some other currency.

I then woke up, and it felt as though the dream was telling me something. I decided to ask this forum again, but went back to sleep. I had another dream, which I no longer remember, but I remember this one. It's almost four in the morning, but I wanted to put this down while the details are still fresh in my mind.

One more thing: I am thinking of moving to another city, on the East Coast, and I am also thinking that it was time to get married - I have been a bachelor for all these years. So there may soon be a lot of changes to my life. And, yes, I would like to marry a good-looking lady like Elizabeth Montgomery. So maybe this dream is saying it's time to get a lovely witch into my life. I don't know.

Please give me your thoughts, thanks.

It seems that the dream is painting a picture of your current situation. The lovely and friendly withch is probably your inner representation of a woman, which has taken the mask of a character form Bewitched series and the character you found lovely.
It seems your subconscious is sending you a message of a kind to start thinking about "your house", which could mean your own family. This Anima figure of a woman is leading you into this scene and you seem to like it. Yes, I think you dechipered the dream already by yourself, it is also that sentence in a dream, when you say toi her, "that you needed her"(your family?9
Different currencies and american coupons in a drawer could mean your thinking about moving to another place, where you need(symbollically) different kind of things(money).

Hope it helped a bit and good luck,

      Plato

Thanks for the input, Plato. I think that's it. I'm feeling more at ease now, and I can still remember feeling how happy I was to know that the witch was coming into my life.

well as backgrounbd houses do tend to symbolize the self. They show you assessing and thinking about how you have just coped with problems .

This dream also features bedrooms. These are intensely personal places. Perhaps it shows you looking more at yourself, wanting to push forward your own needs as a person rather than constantly looking at your own business and its needs.

So its rather about you wanting to explore your own future. Your probably right with elizabeth montgomery - she is probably symbolic of the type of woman you wish to meet.

Often we may warn children not to play with matches. Well the same can be said of adults who try to interpret their dreams. If they do not know what they are doing then it maybe very dangerous. Its very easy to misread a dream. In some ways its best not to expect too much from your dreams as they can be very complicated and difficult to read. Many symbols have personal meanings. Try waiting until something big happens in your life. For instance if something happened the day before such as a very major argument. Then try to see how the dream symbols can work. If the previous day was bad then try looking for bad symbols. Thats the way to really see how your dreams work. It may not work every time but eventually you will start to understand some symbols. Its understandable how we get caught up in dreams. Yet many seemingly scary dreams will not be premonitions. They may simple point to something eerie or scarey from the previous day.
These pages are especially helpful in showing you how to interpret dreams

Thanks, uncle, I appreciate your help, especially with this time in my life.

This dream also features bedrooms. These are intensely personal places. Perhaps it shows you looking more at yourself, wanting to push forward your own needs as a person rather than constantly looking at your own business and its needs.
So what're you saying? That I should take time off work and focus on myself?

Well personally I do not see dreams as advice. To me they represent the key thoughts emerging from your own mind. They are just represented symbolically. I don't think that you should take time off work. Its really more about refocusing your mind. Concentrating your mind less so much on work and more on yourself. Maybe its actually linked to work. Perhaps if your business is going ok then it allows you to concentrate on other things.

      ------------------
In dreams your thoughts are portrayed in a very abstract way using images and feelings. A dream will normally refer to some new feeling or conclusion regarding your life. Dreams then are about ideas and higher intuitional thinking. But there are real problems associated with understanding dreams. A dream will refer to situations in your life which are very complex and really impossible for me or anyone else to imagine. A snake in dreams is a very general theme which can have a million and one real meanings. That symbol has a very real and precise meaning in terms of your recent thinking.
Try these pages as they help you understand the process of dreaming
