Thread: Dream I had

Going upon the basis that there is good, neutral, and evil I think that there is a point where you can no longer be apathetic to your enemies actions. You must do good for yourself and defeat the bad your enemies will bring. These monsters don't want you to get ahead in your journey and cross that bridge. A lot of times these dark entities represent evil people, but it could also mean your temptations as well. Don't take a bad temptation if you know that it can screw you in the end. You will have to fight them. You may dry out your available resources, but you will be given something great in the end that your enemies know that they can't stop you from getting if you go towards it.

This is just my interpretation.

I'm still new here, so I hope you don't mind me just butting on in But as one who's had vivid dreams forever, I've gotten to be quite adept at interpretation.

Elements:
Cross -- death, suffering, sacrifice, being made a martyr, or perhaps a pun ... 'cross to bear' or even 'crossroads' depending on where they were.
Bridge -- transistion, impending decision
Dry riverbed -- lack of emotions (what was the condition of it? Cracked/dry, or muddy?)
hidden things becoming seen -- exactly what it says Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar after all ...

The message, where does it come from? A 'narrator' voice (sometimes attributed to God or the 'higher mind'), or yourself, or one of the people?

People in our dreams are always one of two things (barring shared dreams and other such experiences, which for the sake of argument, we'll assume this isn't, but don't rule it out yourself if you feel it's possible) -- aspects of ourselves, or the way we view others. To see these people as evil, to me, means that either you see aspects of yourself or society that way (and in the latter case, I don't blame you). The content of the message itself, while cryptic, is also oddly straightforward. "Join or die." It is probably a religious dream, or ANTI-religious, if you feel that religion is stifling and negative in many ways (forcing their beliefs on you, etc).

It makes me wonder if you're feeling pressure from outside to committ one way or another to something that you're not ready to decide yet, and that there is some type of religion involved. For example, if I had had this exact dream, I know that for ME, it would be symbolic of the fear I feel from right-wing extremists, because of the somewhat ... ahh ... open lifestyle I have. However, for YOU, it probably means something different, but similiar. Fear from a group of people, with some type of religious overtones, whether you yourself are religious or not.

Evil seems to be a pervading theme in this dream, so I will leave you with this thought. In waking life, evil is in the eye of the beholder. In dreams, it's often symbolic of aspects of yourself that you have repressed, such as negative emotions like anger/fear/rebellion that you feel and do not express, so they get magnified in dreams to evil. Consider that you may need to achieve emotional balance and accept these emotions as part of yourself to conquer this (the dry riverbed really underscores this, by the way).

I hope that helped in some way, even if it's completely wrong, perhaps it gets you thinking so you can figure it out

Crosses everywhere.

(So many paths, only ‘one’ bridge)

A bridge and dried up river. A long way to the place I have to go. A Rope hanging off the bridge.

(There used to be a source of life in this way, but it is not the narrow path, some used to get small amounts of water from the river, but not now.)

These things are hidden, but I am beginning to see them. In these people, infected entitys of blackness.

My head hurts and I escape, with the feeling they will be back.

If I don’t decide soon they will come anyway. And I will not be able to escape. Like a decision has to be made. Because I see them and they want me as an expendable asset,

but whatever happens they dont want me to slip past them, and being neutral is now becoming impossible.

(The light can never slip pass the darkness, neither should it)

There is a fire that starts, and the closer you get the more it burns and the bigger and more fierce it becomes, Until it becomes so unbearable that finally, when the storm passes. You find that this silence and light it brought fourth, has made you born again.
