Thread: Good Interpretation Books?

hmm. I'm almost done reading one now that I think is pretty good. it's mostly about interpreting dreams. there are a couple things I disagree with and the little section on lucid dreaming is CRAP, but I've learned a few things about interpreting dreams from it.

The Bedside Guide to Dreams by Stase Michaels. it's pretty much the only book I've read about interpreting dreams, but it seems accurate. I'd like to read more books on the subject, I'm really interested...

I have suggested it several times before, and I will again because it is just what really got me into the interpretation of dreams (although there is a lot of details I disagree with);

Sigmund Freud's Interpretation of Dreams, which can be read Here.

Also, if you disagree with the psychological outlook on the interpretation of dreams, try taking a look at the "Book of Dreams" by Sylvia Browne.

There's also a lot of the basic interpretation novels you can find laying about in generally every book store.. but they are quite lousy. These two are the ones I have been most fond of (namely Freud, of course). I have yet to come across a book that postulates my own opinion on dreams..

I second that; those books take these objects far too out of context and mis-lead people completely. When one object can only represent one thing within dreams.. that's crap.

Another thing to note is to not hesitate to read interpretation books that you do not agree with; you'd be surprised what you learn when delving into the opposing opinions perspective of things.

but thats pretty much true in any field of inquiry =)

Now I can read another interpretation book without spending a penny (well, I might have to pay as much as the actual book due to all the ink and paper I will need to print it )
