Thread: Nightmare

lately I've been having quite a few nightmares, I dont know what they are stemming from, but last night i had one so vivid, that i thought I would write it down and see if any of you dream interpreters can shed any light on it.

It starts with me walking through an apartment in an old building, I'm in the main room, its a large room, hardwood floors, and tall celing, with a dividing wall splitting it into one large area and one smaller one, the wall has a window in it that is about 4 feet square, the window is divided up in small panes of glass with a wooden frame. I start out in the larger area, and looking trough the window I see a group of people, two girls and two guys, standing around a table, the table looks very old and is made of very thick dark wood, I walk into the smaller room and recognise one of the guys as my roommate, the 4 of them are standing on all 4 sides of the table holding hands looking down at something on the table.

"What are you guys doing?" I ask.
One of the girls turns and looks at me, rather she seemed to look through me, with a blank look on her face and absolutly no emotion in her voice she says "We are trying to talk to the dead." The way she says it sends a shiver up my spine, part of me wants to get as far away from these people as posible, but Instead I walk over to the table, I can now see what it is they are staring at. In the middle of the table is a large white stone, The stone reminded me of one time when i went to the beach, and found a peice of glass that had washed up on the shore, it had been in the water so long that the edges had all been smoothed out from years of erosion, and it was no longer clear, but rather it was translucent. Anyways this stone on the table looked like the same thing, only much larger. I join the group so that i am facing the window, with the table between me and the dividing wall. I concentrate on the stone with the rest of the group, at first nothing happens, then i hear the light fixtures start to lightly rattle, the rattle grows worse, now I can feel the floor shaking. Then the stone begins to glow very softly, sort of pulsing like a heartbeat. The shaking is so bad now that the heavy table is almost dancing on the floor, I can hear wind rushing around the room, At this point I'm terrified,I didnt know what we had let into the room, but I knew whatever it was, I was in way over my head. Suddenly I feel myself lifted up, and I'm thrown violently over the table, and thru the window, I crash to the hardwood floor in the other room, the pain is unbelievable, I'm cut all over, and it hurts to breathe, I'm laying among the shards of glass, I can see blood running from several wounds, and I'm unable to move.
The room is still shaking and the wind is still howling around me, I get the feeling that whatever we had released would be coming for me now that it had seperated me from the group, I struggled to stand, bits of glass falling off me to the floor, and I slowly make my way back to the group. Just as I reach the table I wake up in a cold sweat, heart beating a mile a minute, Its several minutes before i can get calmed down enough to even think about going back to sleep. The Nightmare was so vivid! it was so unlike any nightmare I've ever had before, I usually only remeber bits and peices of my Nightmares, but this one I remebered with crystal clarity right from start to finish.
I've noticed that in all my nightmares there is a common theme, its always some sort of spirit or demon, that I cant see that is after me, I'm hoping that sometime soon I will be able to get lucid during one of these dreams, but how do you combat a force you cannot see?
So anyways if anybody has any thoughts on what this dream means I'd love to hear it.
