Urgent: I dream of a lawyer!

      Background :
I am a social worker for several years, and would like to change job recently on social work or PR field.

" Last night I dream i changed job to a secretary and a lawyer chase me"

I do not have any connection with lawyer but i do hope my daughter or myself to be a lawyer if let me to choose my job and study again.

Is it something inside the dream?

Well, Lawyers are predatory. You know there is a reason people hate then to such a great degree. Of course lawyers would chase one in a dream. They do a well enough job in real life, coming after everybody.

If you would like a good job where a decent living can be made, the same amount of Education would make you an Accountant or a Business Manager. And these are honest professions.

Re: Urgent: I dream of a lawyer!

      Hi onizukasensei,

It seems to me that the lawyer is yourself (in fact, to be a lawyer is one of your desires) that is chaising you for your decision to leave a socially useful job to take an ordinary administrative and bureaucratic job like secretary. To get an ordinary job is what you fear in the change.

Your subconscious is living the battle between a social commitment towards people and a job like PR, where the aim is to serve a company's interests. Then the lawyer is reminding you that none of the two poles really fit your desires, that is to be a professional by yourself, not working for others (people or company) or working for them but at your pace and choice.

The dream is probably suggesting you that the types of jobs are so many that you have to concentrate not only on the content of the job, but on yourself.
