Quite the interesting dream and it seems to have been almost ignored. Don't worry about the length here about dreams, just as long as it isn't over 1000 words long..
The driver within dreams typically represents who is in control of decision making and controlling the future of the passengers lives - the emphasis of this interpretation is almost redundantly clear (you're a passenger to the driver...). Malls also typically symbolise a social scene of somekind or that you feel that social life has been taxing lately - friends owing debts, making fun of your clothing, or just that you like shopping.
So, we've established (even though this is all usually theory remember, so when I say establish, I do mean in theory only) that you feel your mother makes the decisions for your life at the time. This also precipitates the inclination that you may not get along with your father or even have a fatherly figure at all. Where is he in this picture? Also, do you have siblings?
Now the street signs. Besides a personal sentimental attachment to the street signs (hit them with rocks while waiting for the bus as a kid..?), I can't imagine much other emphasis on these thiings besides guidelines and regulations that you should follow. We all know about them, we acknowledge them (most of the time), but we also have a tendancy of ignoring these monotnous regulations. These signs being changed could symbolise governing rules that are controlling your home that you feel powerless to. Your family may have had a very large financial incident in the past. Or simply, the changing of signs remids you of something in the past.
Either way, there's an undercurrent of powerlessness here. You may feel there are forces you cannot control or cope with - this leads to anxiety and even depression. Do you feel apprehensive? Are you concerned about something in the future?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Hope I have been enlightening.
