I haven't done much research on frequencies and their effects, so why aren't they suppose to come through? Are there tones that are suppose to help you become lucid?
Anyway the real reason I wanted to respond was to say that Rush is so awesome! If you look closely at my pic behind the huge drumset is neil pert.

Yeah, when I was a kid I used to play drums and I was a big fan of Neal Pert. As time went by I started DJing and forgot all about Rock etc. But recently I saw the Album Exit Stage Left which I played allot as a Kid, so I've been thinking about them lately (memories).

Well, recently I was testing Theta tones with voice triggers. And the only thing that came through the dreams were voice triggers not the sounds, but this time was different so to say the least I was surprised.

Well sure...but that certainly doesn't mean a live album cannot be excellent!

Back to the thread at hand. I've seen a major increase of dream re-call and vividness since I've been playing brainwave tones no matter what time it seems. Whether its at 2:00 AM or 4:00, I think these seriously have an impact on dream clarity etc. Even though they dont always trigger a lucid I think its great for practicing with dream re-call.

Yep, Rush is pretty cool!


OK, back on topic. Why Theta tones? It seems to me that they should supress dreaming.

Well I own a Luma 10 mind machine and in the manual their programs they wrote for lucid dreaming was based on Theta with some Delta in between which we know is deep sleep (understandable). So I purchased Brain Sound Studio from transparent corp and thier programs for Lucidity are all Theta with some Delta as well. I believe its enough to keep you on the edge but doesnt knock you out. Beta I believe keeps you too alert although the dedicated focus could sure assist. I played some theta tones the last two nights and I had a lucid each night so they seem to be helping. (I noted them in my dream journal).

Played some more Theta tones at 3:00 AM and triggered another lucid it seems! That's 3 this week, I think thats a first for me.

Played some Theta tones around 4:00 AM and I feel it contributed to major vividness in my later REM dreams. Allot of detail and clarity during the dreams in the later morning.

Edit it was Schumann resonance (7.83 Hz) I was using.

Ok I know im noob bust still... ive downloaded there program but I havent regesterd it yet... anyway... I made a file that i copyed off somewere on this site but it doset help... Idont feel sleepy at all and it keeps me up no mater wat voulum I have it at... any ideas of what im doing wrong?

If you're not using a sleep induction file (delta htz) and are using tones for lucidity (theta etc)...you can download any mp3 alarm program that you can trigger sometime in the early morning. This way you'll still be sleepy and will gain the benefit of the entrainment. The only one I fall asleep to is a delta sleep induction but it works quite well for me.

My buddy from DV ZenVortex suggested a great idea for a Schumann Resonance Experiment. (Read Below).
I've created a file and will trigger this early [morning and measure any increase of lucidity while using this file. I'd like to top 3 lucids in a week from playing regular Theta tones.


I think the thing is to try various theta frequencies,
perhaps starting with the Schumann Resonance (which
seems to be the baseline for all living creatures),
modulated by harmonics. In view of the fact that
normal waking consciousness contains 30 Hz to 60 Hz
gamma waves, this would be a good place to start.

For example, modulate a 7.83 Hz Schumann wave with a
6x harmonic (6 x 7.83 = 46.98 Hz). This means
creating two separate waves using BSS, then mixing
them. You could try a mixture of various harmonics,
for example a short burst of 4x, then 5x, then 6x,
then 7x, etc.

Read Wikipedia's entry on brain wave entrainment, I think this will explain allot.

In BWGEN you just click the properties of the node to figure what frequency you are going to set it to. The presets they have are based on the tone frequency and binural beats. Not to confuse you, when using monoural beats you dont have to use headphones like with binural beats (2 frequencies producing the beats fromt he difference in htz (ex: 30 htz signal and a 25htz signal (subtract the 2) gives a 5 htz beat.

Well I could record a single pulsating Theta Note, record it in Audacity and then Record a single Deltawave through it on another track.
Wouldn't that do the same trick?

The only thing you need then is a PC that's on all night next to your Bed and an Alarmsystem so it will be played at a programable time in the night. Preferably after you slept deeply for 5/7 hours.

So how do you do this Phoenelai?
Just let one single Theta-tone Beep sound once at 04:00? OR a couple of them? Or a pulsating, longer Theta-tone?

I'm sure I could figure out about the same thing with Brainwave generator and Audacity. 2 Free Downloadable programs.

I cant see why you Idea wouldnt work fine.

I use Brain Sound Studio by Transparent Corp which is similar to BrainWave Generator. I think the demo doesnt allow you to export your transform or file; therefore YES you would have to play it directly from the PC or record it to an external device (ie tape recorder) although you would loose quality for sure. You could also find a internal sound recorder (software).

The Binural programs are quite simple. You set a time limit such as 20 min and choose you frequency
of the pules. So its a constant tone (of course you can RAMP and change it with nodes). So what I did was first create a 1 min pulse of Schumann Resonance of 7.83. Then I create 1 minute files with the multiples 7.83 X4=31.32 ect, X5, X6, X7, X8. I just droped the main track 1st in ACID and continue to run it for 10 minutes. Then I added the other burst of resonace (x) throughout the rest of the track. So I exported to WAV then converted to mp3. I have my MAC alarm program trigger the file at 3:00 AM while I'm sleeping. I have quite success with just playing theta tones but since ive been testing dreamMaker I havent had a chance yet to use my new file. But last week it generated 3 lucids in a week with just some theta tones (3-8htz) and Low OSC filter. I have high hopes for this new file.

The terrestrial stationary waves phenomenon is named after physicist Winfried Otto Schumann who predicted it mathematically in 1952.

Schumann resonance is due to the space between the surface of the Earth and the conductive ionosphere acting as a waveguide. Its crap... I havent payed for the brain wav gen so i cant load files.... so if I want to have something someone else has made... I have to read it and make a file myself.... do use have any programs beter then this one?

I used Brain Sound Studio by Transparent Corp. but I've paid for a license. It's like $45 but well worth it!
