Except I don't play much. Mostly just Paintball, as Canada (Ontario at least) has some screwy airsoft laws.

I really wish I had enough friends interested in that kind of stuff to organize a group or something...

Yeah it's a lot of fun - I started a team and we have 5 members right now, all close friends of mine. But we're recruiting from my High School right now and things are looking good.

I used to play airsoft all the time, but paintball owns airsoft so i switched. We had massive wars on my street though. The gutters would be lined with bbs

I have an echo1 G36C with one high cap mag, MARPAT camo and a guncase. I play with others in a nearby paintball/airsoft field about twice a month. Shooting people is fun.

So yeah, I play airsoft. Not the hugest of fans of it, but I have decent fun.

I know only paintball, which I did today, coincidentally. Great fun in the snow

What is Airsoft? I've never heard of it

Think of guns designed to look real, except they shoot plastic BBs instead of bullets. And they sting like hell. The way we play it here the rules state if you get hit you have to call yourself out (no referee or anything) and go back to the spawn point. Usually there are scenarios (think Rainbow six and those kinds of games) where there is a goal we must accomplish. Most players of air soft dress like real soldiers of a certain nation and work in squads.

Personally I like it better than paintball, but to each his own. Here is the gun I have:

Yeah it's similar to paintball in a few ways anyway. I like it better because the guns look like guns, instead of metal tubes with a CO2 canister hanging beneath them. Also you wouldn't really want to wear your nice camoflage paintballing. Another cool thing is the guns decide your class a little more, like there are true AirSoft sniper rifles, as well as full-auto guns, semi-auto, pistols, etc.

And it's cheaper

Anyway I think it's a blast.

There are many Paintball weapons however that do look real. Most of the hardcore paintballer's go for those anyway. For example, I myself have a SIMS-4 R.I.S Elite by Ariakon.

Interesting, I've never seen one of those.

Well I guess to each his own. I prefer AirSoft.

I've played airsoft with Navy Seals, Army Rangers, and several police departments down in Texas. Fun stuff. They have a m.o.u.n.t. building complexe for training we use.

That's awesome - the closest thing my team has is a smallish forested area (a 5 or 6 acres) with 2 large forts in it. Which is actually really cool.

Look on line for air soft dealers near you, and you might find someone interested in setting up monthly get to gathers. Maybe some one might even sponsor an event. Get serious enough and you will have the local PD out there training with you guys. Thats how I got started. And remember it does not take the baddest gun to kick ass, I played with a M-11 gas, and a Glock18 Gas for around $300. Good luck.

I had a few airsoft guns, but I live in a suburb, so it's kind of hard to find places nearby that would be good for airsoft. The guns were shit though.

Yeah there's a suprising range of quality when it comes to AirSoft guns. Somewhere from less-than-functional to OMGWTFBBQPWNXORZLOL!!!11!
