      Album art ideas? (for a death metal band)

      Well, my friend is making a death metal band, and he needs ideas for the album art for the band's CD.

      It has to be dark, scary, evil, etc., but it can't portray any religious figure or any symbol or sign such as a pentagram or the number 666.

      The band is still deciding on a name, but he says that the album art doesn't need to be related to the band's name.

      This is pretty much every death metal album cover ever released (if a little on the more extreme side).

      Go read some of 120 Days of Sodom by de Sade. Find a page near the back. Draw what you read. Hey presto: album cover!

      Woah man what's with that high and mighty attitude there, ordering around other forum members? I do agree with the whole you prove your point of view, not me prove you wrong thing, but your attitude there just seems to me to be very disrespectful. Maybe I took what you said the wrong way and if I did I apologize. I'm just a big fan of extreme metal and hate how some people stereotype the bands and the fans as satan worshiping sadists.       To be fair he wanted a horrifying album cover no symbols or signs.

      I was only attacking his stereotyping of all death metal themes as being as stupid and mindless as CC. People are disgusted by metal as it is. No need to make it worse with false information; though I don't think it was intentional in any case and my reaction was a bit harsh.
