6:40 BBC ... uh ... BBC 1 ... I think. I've forgotten.
Anywho, don't miss it. This series is gonna be whack!
Catherine Tate... ugh. Why? WHY?!?
I guess Tennant still makes it worth watching...
Go Daleks!

I don't want to spoil it so:
Spoiler for SOME BIG RUMOURS:
Edit: ^ The first one was confirmed by Tennant on the Friday Night Project, the second one is debatable, I'm told the third was confirmed by the BBC but I haven't seen this for myself, the fourth is probably codswhollop.

Seconded
I can't believe they're taking it off the air for two years...
At least the new season starts soon!

OMG finally!
American fan here...I have to search and scour the internets for torrents for the new episodes (We have BBC America but they take forever to air new episodes). It's still worth it though! Dr. Who is my favorite show of all time. And I love David Tennant. He's my Doctor.
(BTW since this is a dreaming forum, I have actually tried to meed The Doctor in my LDs, lol. Succeeded only once but I only saw him for a second. Even in dreams the Doctor is elusive!)
Yup it's back and with all 3 assistants!

Confirmed for the finale so far are The Doctor, Donna, Martha, Rose, Jack, Sarah Jane, Mickey, Jackie. I've been hearing talk that the kitchen sink might make a guest appearance.

The new Doctor Who really is bad, its cheesy and has the worst storylines. Torchwood does a better job in my opinion.
The old doctor who episodes were much better, they had a storyline that was interesting. And also, if a character died, there wasn't a whole orchestra to play them out, they simply died, end of with little send out as possible.
The standards have really dropped, i shalln't be watching it at all.
The old show was okayish in the Tom Baker era, but it was otherwise worse. New Who has its moments (the Moffat episodes). Torchword is sex though, I enjoy it a lot more than Old/New Who
That's an aweful lot of characters for the finale besides Jack already returned. Bring on Bilis is all I say!
I tried watching torchwood, it just wasn't the same.
This more or less sums up the show![]()

Urgh. I have low expectations of the new series, but will watch regardless.
Because if Russell Davis can do anything, it's build up hype. Damn him.
Catherine Tate, bad. Doctor Who at the moment...bad, really. But, bleh.
Torchwood disappoints in a similar fashion. They've forgotten that want we want is either X-Files style alien investigating, or else slick and stylish Torchwood operatives being secretive and killing aliens. Torchwood in Doctor Who was far better than the Torchwood in Torchwood.
Which is a shame. I can't say I particularly dislike any of the characters. It's just the themes of the episodes are leaning more on 'Torchwood should be emotional and nice again', which fails.
What does everyone have against Cathrine Tate? She's not Rose, but she's still one of the better companions. I like the way she was getting jerked around in Rose's wake last season. Should be good when they meet each other.
Torchwood is just horrible. Plus the gap in that woman's teeth is very distracting.

Best Torchwood episode remains the cannibal farmers. Best by far. Tension was there, some coherence in the theme of humanity being just as seemingly 'alien' at times...it all worked nicely.
...except for the fact that a handful of farmers outwitted a super-secret crack-squad of alien-investigators. But I'm willing to overlook that.
Catherine Tate was mindless catch-phrase based humour. Little Britain barely got away with that, and she most certainly didn't at all.
That's why.
Am I bothered?
Plus the gap is annoying, I noticed that too.

Damnit, the gap's cute.
OOOoooOooohhhh... Her...
I misunderstood who Catherine Tate was. Not really looking forward to seeing her, but you never know. At least Davros is back.

We want Sea Devils, Goddamnit.
Those storylines hurt sometimes.![]()
