Thread: E3 07' Discussion

I guess no one here is a video game nerd -_-

All very, very dull this time round. With the exception of Wii Fit and Little Big Planet.

Are you kidding me? Assassin's Creed and Bioshock, as well as Fable 2, look to be games that have never gone this far before. Microsoft whooped everyone's ass, experienced gamer wise. Frankly, I'm tired of people trying to get everyone to play videogames.

Three main things I am excited about.

1. LittleBigPlanet. (yes it is all one word)
2. Assassins Creed
3. Unreal Tournament 3

Lot of interesting stuff but this is what I narrow it down to. Wii fit looks dumb to me. might be fun for a surfing or a snowboarding game though.

Wii Fit will sell insane amounts to the casual market, no doubt about that.

Oh, NiGHTS Journey of Dreams and Mario Galaxy also look interesting.

Halo 3, 'nuff said!

Yeah Halo 3 and GTA 4, But it seems the PS 3 is getting ready to pull out all the stops. This line up is extremely good for whats to come this Fall and early winter.

Yeah, Halo 3 is what I bought the 360 for. I'm a huge nerd when it comes to that game... read the books and played it religiously way back when.

Not as much now, but that'll change once the third is out.

Oh, and GTA 4, that looks fucking insane. I remember playing the last one and saying, now imagine if this was combined with the graphics on Burnout or something, then it'd be perfect. Then I see this trailer for the 4th and I die.

Unreal Tournament 3 looks...well...UNREAL!

UT3 is going to be simply amazing.

I love this vid about the game engine. Unreal engine 3 tech demo . Now that just looks sexy. And the thing I love about it, Each copy ships with an editor. So, you can make your own realistic levels that have all those awesome effects yourself. =)

and btw, that demo was made back in 2005 i think.

EDIT: went around looking for more recent stuff...

fluid demo

bending metal/physics demo (real time!!!!)

sexy path generation (this means bots will play the levels properly and with low CPU calculations while the level designer barely lifts a finger.)

i love it =O

Just imagine playing a level where stuff is falling and breaking like that around you. PPL are gonna make that sorta stuff =)

I can't wait. They're probably gonna have something even better for the next E3
