I would think so because his power is unbelievably extensive. The ability to travel faster than the speed of light and bend time and he skin is so thick he doesn't feel pain, he can resist the vacuum of space. I mean the list goes on this guy is awesome and he is going to give the fantastic 4 a shear run for their money.

Sigh. Another comic-inspired franchise sequel. How original.

*shrug* he already knows I think the flame guy's hot.

But yeah, we'll definitely get this DVD, but I don't think I'd go see it in the theater.

Agh! Is he a villain in this...?

It would only make it perfect if Galactus or Thanos is in it as a villain..

..galactus might be a little odd though..

I just read that it will be galactus.. lol.

Im really siked for this movie, and really scared. I've been a huge silver surfer fan for a long time but I'm afraid there going to ruin him as bad as they ruined Dr. Doom in the last one. You can see the surfer passing through solid objects in the trailer.

If they improved on the writing (which doesn't really look too promising, after they "I just bought this tux" line in the trailer, and the actors show a little more solidity than they did in the first one, this could be good. I'm just not sure, though. The first one really disappointed me.

I hope that by this you don't mean to say that you hope they ever stop turning bad-ass comics into movies.

I might go see this one in the theater. It seems the comic book movies are starting to get into the good stuff finally. I hope some day to see the infinity gauntlet series (yeah right).

I agree I was pretty dissappointed by the first one as well. And that line didn't do justice as you mentioned. When I heard him talk about his tux I was like WTF? Is that the best they could come up with I guess I'm really looking more forward to the Special effects which I'm sure are going to be top notch.

Marvel Comics is the #1 reason that the Hollywood system is in complete shambles.

Seems to me like you're blaming the comics, themselves, and not the people making the (flawed) movies. So they haven't gotten the forumla right. I see that as no reason to campaign against comics being turned into movies. I just think the people making them need to get their shit together.

Oh I agree with you there. In fact, I thought that X2 and Batman Begins were very well done. But as long as comic book fans continue to shell out dollars to see whatever the half-assed sequel of the month is, the filmmakers have no reason whatsoever to try and improve their craft.

Really, how many people read comics?

Nowhere near enough to influence box offices.

At all.

There have been plenty of good comic movies:

X-men
Spiderman
Superman Returns
Sin City
V For Vendetta (Even if Moore disagrees )
Men In Black
That is why most of them got/getting sequels.

The comic films this year look good as well:

300
TNMT
Ghost Rider
Fantastic Four 2
Spider-man 3

If comic movies were so bad, there would not be so many of them still being made.

Ghost Rider and Fantastic Four 2 look good? I rest my case.

Just because something makes a lot of money in the box office doesn't mean its good.

And by "comic book fans" I don't necessarily mean people who still read comic books. I mean everyone who has knowledge of and personal experience with comic books or at least comic book characters.
