FF7 is overhyped enough as it is.... Its time for square to move on. Plus, FF13 or KH3 will probably kick the ass of any FF7 remake. They should spend more time making the original games.

I'm not a Kindom Hearts fan, At All, and every FF I've played, after 7, doesn't even compare. I've beaten 8, played up until about 35% of 12, and I'm about 85% of the way through FF10. Still, 7 is one of the best games I've ever played (and I didn't even like RPG's until I'd played that game.)
I'm definitely down for playing a remake.

FF13 looks pretty fuckin hot, though. But, to say I'd rather play that, than an optimized FF7, would be stretching it.

VII was an overrated piece of crap.

Theres plenty of newer stuff from FF7. Advent children, Dirge of cerberus..... I'd rather simply stick with those then play a game i've already played before that has good graphics.

FF7 has already been played too much. We all know the story. Theres no surprise factor anymore when *spoiler* Aries dies.

FF7 was best video game ever created. I hardly play games anymore except for some Halo now and then, but I still play FF7 straight through every so often. I can't believe it is ten years old already.

There are those rare times when programmers put their heart and soul into creation. FF7 was the result. FF8 was okay, the rest are crap. You pay more and get less.

FF7 was great, yeah, but FF9 was pretty good too.
FF7 is still the best RPG ever though.

Sony's launches are always abysmal. The PSP has only barely started getting games that evoke my curiosity... but there's still no chance I'm going to fork out $200 for it.

My favorite FF was actually FFIX, but there's no way I'd want to see a remake, especially since squenix seems to be going through a dry spell at the moment (as far as my tastes go, anyway). Strangely, though, I wouldn't mind an FFVII remake... not so much for graphical improvement, but I've always felt the FFVII story had more to give, and the recent sequels did almost nothing to help.

Above even that, however, would be a Xenogears remake (or better yet, the release of Xenosaga Ep. V, since Gears, is supposed to be the fifth game in that series). Unfortunately, because the original creators of gears belong to monolith soft, and squenix won't share the rights to gears with them, it's probably not going to happen.

Xenogears is the other game I still play now and then. This game had the best story ever. I was actually playing the Xenosaga games (I have the first two) until they decided to scrap the project and crammed it all into three episodes. That made me lose interest. They could never have been as good as the mighty vision of Xenogears anyhow. They seem to want to give you less than everything these days. In part, that is why I don't play games anymore; they have become as bad as pop music.

FF7 would absolutely rock the PS3. That's all I gotta say.
