I don't know anything about this game other than I wish I had it.![]()
I got the geme ealier today, quite good, hurts my wrist too much though. Bad thing is that the only song I've heard of so far is the song by The Killers in 2006. I only unlocked a maximum of 50% of the songs though. And the version I got was for PS2.
Would anyone else like to share their opinions on this game?

Well, all I can to that is that over here the game only costs about £44 with the guitar which isn't that far off from an avarage video game of any platform. So I'm guessing over there it'll be the same, other than the usage of pounds of course.
I'm thinking about getting it. I love Tom Morello and can't wait to battle him in the game, but every time I start playing the game I feel guilty about neglecting my real guitars.

Some people are waaaay too good at this game. I consider myself half decent, I can complete most songs on medium without messing up at all, most songs on hard getting around 90%, and quite a few songs on expert without getting sent off
But I don't own that game. I really need to get a console. I have to rely on going to my friend's house to play it, and he completely owns me at every song. Except Knights of Cydonia, hehe. He has problems with the really fast strumming bits on that.
Awesome game, the best console game I've ever played in my opinion, I really love it. And it's not sad that I have all the songs on my iPod.![]()
i don't get it .... how on earth is it fun playing on a plastic looking guitar with 4 buttons on it .....
If I knew Picasso, I would buy myself a gray guitar and play ...
Well that's stupid, of course you get it, you just don't like it. You get it because you get the fact that you don't like playing with a toy guitar with four buttons which are showed on screen. But then again it's more than four.
The four button one is Dance Dance Revolution, in the United Kingdom it's typically called Dancing Stage because they just have to give everything boring names.
Stepmania is the PC version of Dance Dance Revolution. And Flash Flash Revolution is the internet version of Stepmania.![]()
I went to my friends this weekend and played this after a night out and he was so much better than me
So I bought it for my 360 the next day and been practicing all week so I can kick his ass at the weekend!
Completed Easy and Medium levels and now on hard! ROCK ON!!!![]()

Playing a real guitar is much more fun.
Its not even hard to learn something that sounds decent...

I personally see no point in Guitar Hero, its just a game, if people want to rock out properly, they will get themselves a guitar and learn.
So no, i don't like the game, it has some bad choices of songs also, but kudos to the creators, its obviously been a big success looking at its sales. But its not my thing.
I play guitar and I like playing the game just as much. It's a challenge. Half the songs on there are way harder to play on Guitar Hero than on any real guitar, which is why it's a challenge.
Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and gray,
Look out on a summers day,
with eyes that know the darkness of my soul.
OMG I don't get all the bitching about this game! It's awesome fun. It is not meant for those who cannot be bothered to learn guitar. It is a GAME and it is FUN!
That is all....
I can see the problem that people have with this game. Most games simulate something you can't do in real life (shooting bad guys or driving 200 mph), but guitar hero is different. It's a simulation of something you can do in real life, something rewarding, fun, and useful. Why not invest your time with a real guitar?

I play most songs well on expert(except the ending of One, and Im horrible at Through the fire and flames, Number of the Beast ,and the songs at the bottom of the bonus list). Im the best Guitar Hero player in my house, I always beat my sister and my brother. I would LOVE to play a real guitar but they are so expensive. But to bad for me my PS2 broke recently and I REALLY REALLY want to play Guitar Hero. Rock Band is the next game for me to buy...I wish I had a Xbox 360....
the fact is, some people can never play as good as the people in the game, so why not have fun with it? I play real guitar and this, and I agree some of these songs are way harder on guitar hero on real guitar, but honestly its just for fun, why have a beef with it?
edit: oops, got on the rant forgot about putting my thoughts on the game. I am to the last group of songs on expert now, but I still cant beat DWDTG or TTFAF on hard. Its a lot of fun to try though,![]()

Dream Journal Shaman Apprentice Chronicles
A point well made lol.
I think at the end of the day when I get bored of this I can then just go get another game, or move onto the next best thing. If I was to go out and buy a guitar and amp etc, it is just going to be a waste of money as I have no real want to learn guitar.
Plus I got to hard in under a week, couple of days in fact. But a week playing guitar and I would still be shit and would be bored of it lol
