That sounds like one of those freaking awful/awesome psychothrillers. You don't see many of those translated recently.
Sounds... Interesting, if a bit... spooky. I'll check it out sometime (probably link now, so I don't forget, and read later).

Hello everyone, I just recently finished this manga in one sitting. It's still worth reading.
You don't have to read through the characters if you don't want, but I suggest reading the Summary and my review on it.
Now to start it off...A PICTURE!
From left to right: Eiji, Yuu, Rei, Matsuki, Haruka, and Hajime.
Summary
There's a game based on lies and deception growing popular in Japan. The game is called 'Rabbit Doubt' and it is played on cellular phones. The premise of the game is that all of the players are rabbits in a colony, and one amongst them is randomly chosen to be a wolf that has infiltrated the group of rabbits. Every round, the wolf kills off a rabbit, and every round, the group tries to figure out which of the rabbits is actually a wolf in disguise. Sometimes the kids who play this game decide to meet up in person, and Yuu, Mitsuki, Rei, Hajime, Eiji, and Haruka have done just that. Unfortunately, while the group is enjoying themselves at a karaoke club, they are rendered unconscious and awake inside, what appears to be, an old, run down mental hospital. They soon discover someone among them has decided to take on the mantle of the wolf and has already killed once. As their situation grows more dire, their trust and camaraderie quickly dissolves and they begin to accuse one another, while the wolf continues to pick them off, one by one. Who is the wolf, and can they be stopped before everyone meets a very unpleasant end?
Characters: WARNING MAJOR SPOILERS!
Yuu Aikawa
Honest, straightforward, and friendly. His childhood friend is Mitsuki, whom he cares a great deal for, and he takes it upon himself to protect her at all costs. Mitsuki is also the only person that Yuu completely trusts within the group. Yuu found himself inside the hospital after receiving a blow to the head from a wrench inside the bathroom at the karaoke bar. He also seems to be the only person who has caught a glimpse of the wolf. He's the only one who doesn't have a bar code tattooed on his skin which, the group discovers, are the keys to unlocking the network of doors keeping them trapped in the building. When his lacking a bar code is revealed, he is accused of being the wolf and is restrained for a time while the atrocities unfold around him, all the while maintaining his innocence. The story unfolds mainly from Yuu's perspective, and since he is very righteous and the only individual, besides Mistuki, who doesn't throw accusations around, it is safe to assume he is the main protagonist. Whenever someone in the group dies, Yuu takes it very hard, and often times winds up blaming himself in some way.
Mitsuki
She was not one of the original players and only tagged along to be with Yuu, whom she seems to have a crush on. She gets jealous when other girls are friendly with him. As the horror that develops, she is constantly seeking reassurance and protection from Yuu. She is the daughter of a cop, which contributes to her strong sense of morality, and her mother died when she was young. Yuu found her crying and promised to protect her, and they have been close since. She is the most emotional of all with a weak constitution, screaming or fainting at the first sign of danger or injury. Mitsuki wants to believe in the good of everyone in the group, giving everyone the benefit of the doubt and she triesto do the right thing, even under the deadly circumstances. Haruka, seeing her information along with theirs, believes her to be the wolf along with Yuu. She was attacked by Haruka, and received a cut on her arm from a scalpel, then is locked in the bathroom. She is then released by Yuu and faints shortly thereafter from blood loss and is trusted to Hajime's care. It is assumed that Mitsuki has been killed as a video camera station reveals a girl being hung and having a stake ran through her whom Yuu believes to be Mitsuki; however, only the chest down is visible to Yuu.Mitsuki's bar code was on the left side of her neck. In chapter 14 it was revealed as that she was the wolf.
Eiji Hoshi
This 18 years old boy is aggressive, abrasive, and sometimes violent. He has a smoking and drinking habit for which he is chastised by Mitsuki, a cop's daughter, who refuses to let him indulge in either vice while under the age of 20. He flirted with Rei, but after hearing her talk to Yuu about her past as a famous hypnotist, he immediately exposed her in front of everyone. After the tension in the group has eased, Eiji disappears to the bathroom and is not to be seen again until the group reawakens in the mental hospital. Once the real life or death game of "Rabbit Doubt" begins, he is too hasty, acts on his own and ends up trapping himself in one of the rooms after going against the group's wishes by using his bar code to unlock a bathroom. As punishment, he is left behind in the locked room where the group believes he will stay out of trouble. It is later revealed he was once in a gang that was partly responsible for one of the most violent gang fights in the city's history. Several were injured, and one gang member ended up dead by Eiji's gang's hands. The deceased is believed to be the lover of someone known only as Shōjo H, suspected by the others to be Haruka, who is out to seek revenge for his murder. When the group learns of this startling new information, a possible connection begins to surface. Yuu witnessess his death when he was restrained. He was hung and his right hand was severed.Eiji's bar code was on his right wrist.
Haruka Akechi
This happy, fun-loving, and flirtatious girl turns into a scared, obsessive, and paranoid participant of the game. As the "Rabbit Doubt" advances, she seems to descend to madness, flinging accusations out left and right. She is the one to note that Yuu doesn’t have a bar code and believes him and Mitsuki to be the wolf after she learns Mitsuki's information is on file, when she should have only been an accidental participant. She ties Yuu up after attacking Mitsuki and locking her in the bathroom, then she disappears after claiming she can't trust Hajime either. When the others learn of Eiji's past as a gang member, and that he was involved in a fight that led to the death of one man, the others suspect Haruka of being Shōjo H and briefly of being the wolf, and that there may be a connection between them after all. Yuu finds her head severed after finding a room filled with rabbit heads, stakes, and ropes.Haruka's bar code is on her chest.
Rei Hazama
The youngest of the players. She was involved on a hypnotism TV show, but after it was reported to be a scam by relentless reporters, she tried to commit suicide by walking out in front of a vehicle. She then had a change of mind at the last moment and wound up paralyzed instead of dead, so she is confined to a wheelchair. It’s because of her past that Rei is shy and tends to be nervous around others. She is harassed by Eiji at first, but when Yuu comes to her rescue, she is grateful and reveals the truth to him. Eiji overhears and reports it to the rest of the group who is shocked, but accepts it right away. She is not immediately in the area when Yuu awakes in the hospital, be he does run across her broken wheelchair and savaged stuffed rabbit as well as her corpse having been staked to a wall; Her cellphone is the device found displaying the cryptic message that "Rabbit Doubt" has started. Beside her wheelchair Hajime finds the words "Atonement for killing both legs", along with the catch phrase of the game "The liar must die." Both written in her blood. This leads Yuu to speculate at one point that they are being forced to play the game as punishment for some crime.Rei's bar code is on her thigh.
Hajime Komaba
A medical student attending university, he is the last of the players to be presented. He didn’t meet with the others because he was lured by a false text message to a different meeting place at a different where he was abducted separate from the group. He reveals to Yuu that the text message apparently came from his phone, which Yuu denies having any knowledge of. Cool and collected, he is the most level-headed of the players and appears to have the best understanding of what is going on. He stumbles across most of the clues and comes up with most of the deductions, which causes him to be suspected of being the wolf on a few occasions. He is the one that concludes all the events following the “Rabbit Doubt” game and assumes the role of the leader, since he seems to be well informed. His primary concern is survival, and he is indifferent to whether or not his accusations offend another player, or a decision he makes ultimately leads to their death. His knowledge of medicine helps him solve the mystery behind the death of a man they stumble across and briefly believe to be the wolf, as well as assists Mitsuki when she becomes injured. He seems to be the antithesis to Yuu's personality. Sadly, after he was about to reveal who the wolf really was(apparently having figured it out) he was stabbed in the back before being able to tell Yuu.His bar code is on his arm.
My Review
Well, first off I just want to say...WTF?! I HATED IT SO MUCH THAT-
*Ahem*
Sorry, but I can't spoil it. This is truely a great Manga. It will keep you guessing until the very end. I had my suspicions on who was the Wolf, but I never thought...well, I can't really say it.
I really enjoy Manga's like these that make you try to find out who the killer is. I thought I knew who the killer was, but I was wrong...and they did a GREAT job at fooling me. I mean, when you see that she was- Almost spoiled it again.
If you would like to read the Manga click here!
The manga isn't finished yet, but overall, I give this manga a 9/10.
I instantly became attached to one of the characters...then I became mad at what happened to that character.
And I would have NEVER thought it was that certain person...
I just want to spoil the hell out of this...so if anyone has read this, we can talk about it in chat sometime.
I was told that the next chapter will be released on September 12th, so the translation should come sometime after that I believe.
That sounds like one of those freaking awful/awesome psychothrillers. You don't see many of those translated recently.
Sounds... Interesting, if a bit... spooky. I'll check it out sometime (probably link now, so I don't forget, and read later).

I haven't been able to figure out what that is on Matsuki's (girl next to the wheelchair) head. I think it may be a ribbon.
Oh dear.
That's pretty damn near the plot of Mindhunters. And that movie suuuuucked.
Sounds interesting, tho'
Things done in LD dreams : Levitated other people, stopped cars, made people speak gibberish...
@ slayer's last post: It could be one of a set of chobits ears, or something. I figure it is most likely a ribbon, though I don't see the corner of the other side over the top of her head (if the wolf hasn't been discovered, and she's not dead, that could be a clue, symboloic wolf ear under the rabbit mask fromk the previous page)
@Slayer's first post: Aw, man, why didn't you say the rabbits were so freaky? And the Wolf (in the story, with the rabbit mask). I read the first chapter last night about eleven thirty, I'm surprised i didn't have rabbit doubt nightmares.

My second thought about that ear thing was something similar to Chobits too.
And I never thought about that being a clue...
But how would she be the wolf if she wasn't even playing the game?
And I've already read the whole thing so far...so I know what happens. I'm just questioning your theories
Edit: And is it me, or does that smiley seem a little creepy?
Yeah it does, we're probably paranoid froom talking about that manga. Freaky expressionless rabbits...
And I hadn't yet read all the way through the finished chapters, so I
didn't know who the wolf would be. I have now finished all fourteen chapters currently translated. There could be as few as one more chapter, or as many as three. Maybe five or more if there's a major twist, but I highly doubt it (I'm hoping for two more chapters, myself)
And, if the ear was an oblique reference to her being the "lying wolf," it could have been a direct lie that she hadn't played the game.

JET73L's dream journal

Oh wow, I hadn't thought about that...
And I think there will only be one or two more chapters.
Truthfully, I hope it all turns out to be a dream or something like that...
I want that Rei girl to be alive D:
Edit: Ok I'm just going to spoil things now...so if anyone hasn't read the full thing, then you can skip the rest of this post...
If that is true, then she would be lying herself, which would mean that she would have to die too, right? And, if the ear was an oblique reference to her being the "lying wolf," it could have been a direct lie that she hadn't played the game.
I just don't see why she would even do something like that. She was raised as the daughter of a cop...and she's always serious about stuff like smoking and drinking.
Also, how would she have been able to knock out Yuu while he was in the bathroom? From what we saw, the Wolf knocked him out. But Matsuki was in the room with Rei and Haruka. And Eiji was no where to be found...
Unless Matsuki was able to knock out Rei and Haruka and then slip into the bathroom before Yuu got there. I just don't see how she would knock out Rei, Haruka, slip into the bathroom, knock out Eiji (unless he was slipped a pill and fell asleep in the bathroom), then take out Yuu.
Now I may be thinking too much, but how would she be able to move everyone into that building anyways?
My other thought is this...
What if everyone played the Wolf?
Eiji killed Rei because she wouldn't date him. He even said he had to problem hitting girls, and he was apart of a gang.
Haruka killed Eiji because Eiji killed Haruka's lover.
Yuu killed that one guy by accident. He killed a rabbit, so that would make him a Wolf of some sort.
Hajime may have killed Haruka. I have not thought of a reason why, but this is possible.
Matsuki killed Hajime because she may have saw Hajime kill Haruka, and then snapped and tried to kill Yuu.
My other theory on Matsuki is that she killed Haruka. Haruka attacked her because she thought she was the Wolf. And then Matsuki snapped and killed Hajime because he knew who the Wolf was.
It is obvious that Matsuki killed Hajime. But it is unsure of who actually killed who.
The only way we will find out is when the next chapter comes out.
Expect the translated version to be out around the 30th.

I read the Wikipedia thing and it said it was something like the game Mafia, whatever that is.
But it is truely a great read, so please don't try to judge it by other books or movies.

*Joyous cheer*
I tried to keep spoilers from becoming too numerous, and I think I was successful, but read at your own risk anyway.
I like the way you've thought all of this out. I'm waiting to see how the end turns out, then I'll go back and reread it to catch all the nuances and who is where when. I only have a vage idea of a lot of the facts you determined, and the only thing I know for sure is that it was not one of the three girls who knocked out Yuu at the beginnign of the story (this is under the assumption that only one or two people were the wolf. I think it may be at least two people, plus one or more accomplices that are either being tricked into killing the others or are not one of the revealed characters, such as the people who run the mental hospital doing this as some sort of insane test. And did it say how long the girls were conscious when Yuu was in the bathroom at the beginning of the story? There may or may not have been time for anyone but Yuu [assuming he's not got a multiple personality disorder] to KO or drug the others and then sneak into the bathroom via a window, since the door creaked. I'm assuming the wolf is *covered neck tattoo,* but aside from that I don't know who's helping or what. I just want to see the end of the series and see which guesses were incorrect and which was right. For a long time, I was wondering why... Eiji? Didn't think his tattoo might be on his back or some place he couldn't see or hadn't thought of.)

I really do think there was an accomplice. I mean, when Hajime said he was attacked by the Wolf, Matsuki was in the room with him.
I could understand if he was sleeping, and then was attacked by the Wolf, and wasn't able to see if Matsuki was still on the bed, then assumed the Wolf dragged her off.
And you could probably expect it sometime before the 30th. The 14th chapter was released on August 12th and then translated and released on August 28th. That's only 16 days apart. So you could probably expect to see the translated on the 28th of september too, as the 15 chapter is planned to release September 12th as well.

Chapter 15 of Rabbit Doubt has been released!!!
http://www.onemanga.com/Doubt/15/01/
Pretty short though...

Hurr, I felt a bit empty at the end, because I didn't feel any big "Ohh mai goood" it was more of an 'oh' feeling.
Spoiler for The ending :0:
Meh.
But after reading episode 15, It's more interesting :O
Now I just have to wait, and by then I'll probably have forgotten all about this.![]()
It would probably be more interestong iof I wait until the final chapter is translated, then read it the whole way through. In the last three weeks, or however long it was, I forgot a lot ofwho did what andmost of the nuances. So, when the last chapter comes out, I'll probably just remember 1. someone killed everyone else, 2. everyone lied, 3. it was a girl... or a guy. or a girl who looked like a guy. or a guy and a girl.

I may just read the whole thing again when the next chapter is released. I haven't really forgotten what all happened though.
But atleast Chapter 15 answered my question on how she was able to move all the bodies into that building.
I haven't taken a look at that manga, yet, but it sounds interesting.
However, that site is exactly what I was looking for... I could spend SOOOOOO much time on that site.

Isnt this plot rather like "and then there were none"? except they are locked in a hospital instead of on an island?
