Episode 1208 - The China Probrem
Cartman must confront the Chinese alone while the American people are haunted by the memory of recent tragic events.



Maybe the "friend" who gets raped is someone on television...thus the "there was nothing we could do" statement. Maybe it isn't even someone, perhaps it is just a symbolic being...like "such and such orginization is your friend."

I would like the return of Darth Chief...

Oh my. Sounds promising.

This reminds me of the adventures of huckleburry fin...the banning of the content because of things they found unsavory...

Then the creator shouts out HEY LOOK AT ME I GOT BANNED. /insert the swelling of the south park viewer count.

Everyone quick hug your television sets it is about to come on.

I saw it. Wasn't that great. Basically, Matt and Trey didn't like the new indiana Jones Movie; end of plot.

You need to analyze this episode more. The writers usually show both sides of the coin on things. In this case you seem to think that the episode was ABOUT expressing the view that they ruined indiana jones. No, it was about the stupidity of going overboard. They are both making fun of people who would make such bold statements like "they raped indiana jones" and are they themselves making the statement that the show was completely absurd "did you see the part with the refridgerator stan? It didn't even make sense." In the end they have butters saying "well I thought it was pretty good."

The writers even show a character who never even saw the movie...to stress the point that the movie isn't even important anyway.

It is less about the indiana jones movie and more about pop culture itself.

But, you are right, it wasn't that great, the only funny part was when Cartman couldn't reconcile butters shooting of the penis and what they were trying to accomplish. Not one of the best episodes.

The shooting a guy in the dick part got a little old after the second time it happened.

I was expecting more bashing of Chinese people. Or more about the Olympics.

I can't get over how different Cartman's voice sounded.

I didn't notice... Why would it be different?

Just watched it, the shot in the dick part was good but the rest was ehhh.... And there was a bit too much crying.

btw If you want to watch the episode, just go to South Park Studios and select The China Problem. It's uncensored too!

Not all of them have direct metaphors, though if there is one it will most likely appear next week.


1. The camcorder footage that documents the rampage of a giant guinea pig through town is a parody of the 2008 feature film thriller, Cloverfield.

2. At one point, Randy looks into the camera, and says, "I am so startled...", a parody of the similar scene from the 1999 horror film The Blair Witch Project.
3. The holding center in Miami appears to be identical to the one which Tony and Manny from Scarface are held in.
