OH MY GOD! I've been followed spore for ages, it's going to be amazing!

Anyway my race will be insectoid for a start. Probably a n aggressive predator. Not sure about building style since they can look like pretty much anything to. Probably try and make them look like trees.

To bad it's a Massively Single player Online game eh? As in if i visit your world( i believe the game automatically updates itself with other peoples planets and their animals), and blow it up, to you i haven't visited yet, but to me your race can no longer evolve, even if in your version you basically own the universe, interesting concept.

My race is going to own some evil races, but is benign to newer ones ...

Oh, and insectoid sounds like a good idea

yeah well go ahead and own my world, blow it apart, i wont even know lol, sorry but thats why every player has their own reality in this, ill blow up your world to.

But how will you know it is mine? Hahahahah! You will kill every world you find, and then the super-aliens will kill your murdering race!

I don't know if my computer will be able to run it too well.

When is it coming out?

unfortuanity, it looks like sometime in 2008 ...

i heard that actually the game requires no more then what sims2 does, so if your comp plays sims 2 fine, this game should play fine to. The difference is space, its going to take up like 8-10GBs ive heard and theres also tons of extra content from other players to download.
Also i think its early spring 08, march-april time because thats when the fourth fiscal business quarter is, and that was when they said they would realease it, something like that, april 08ish.

It's taking much too long to come out, development started so long ago That's usually not such a good sign...

aye but the guy was saying you could visit other galaxies and stuff. That there's literally going to be 100,000s of worlds which the game will have to either generate itself or take from other players if you have the internet.

I'd imagine it takes a while to work out the creature designer thing to, it looks complex, theres probably quite a few graphic bugs to sort out and i bet this whole online single player thing with everyone with their own version of the universe is complex. Ah well, as long as it comes out.

2008 huh? Hmm, maybe I can get a better computer by then. You're right though, it's been in development forever. I first heard about it years ago it seems.

Yeah, I've been following this game for awhile now too, though I've forgotten about it until recently.... I was thinking about making a couple of different races, like a Kraken type thing for water, and maybe like some type of Ultralisk from Starcraft of Hydralisks for land.... I don't know, I had millions of ideas for races a couple months ago, but they've all slipped my mind now. I can't wait for this game though.

Lol, that's the whole point! No one messes with Krakens. Or a race of Chuck Norris', but that might be too extreme.

I'd be boring and make a vengeful group of ugly humans (small heads, large bodies, awkwardly placed appendages?) who were cast out of normal society sometime in the future.

I'll definately make an earth. And then a carniverous group of giant mouths with fangs and legs that takes it over.

Too many possibilities, the games going to be awesome.

I'm going to call mine "Dream Viewers" and all they'll do is sleep and get high.

Bahahaha, that sounds like quite the life.

Not necessarily. It depends on the producer and the developer. Any games from Blizzard for example, tend to take a long time to come out, but its because they're polishing and balancing it to perfection. I trust that Spore is taking long for a good reason.

Amen, games that are rushed SUCK! besides...i'm sure their getting their ideas of galaxies looking at hubble so it will take a long while for all these galaxies and millions of stars and planets to get the game finished.

That's why Halo 2 sucked, it was rushed, they didn't get to spend time on as much things as they liked.

If a video game needs time to be good, let it have the time! It'll be coming out either way.

Isn't Spore that uber-cool looking evolution game? (keeper, hmmm, nice game, huh?)

wait, if i recal dident they cancel spore? i recall them saying they did on the main site
