I wasn't stupid enough to watch a game-to-movie translation.

I was wasted when I saw Silent Hill. (Had a pretty intense dream about it, though. Heh.) I enjoyed it, but I'll have to see it again before I give it any sort of real critique.

But yeah, like FB said - You'll be hard-pressed to find any videogame to movie adaptation. They are the kind that you just watched to be "entertained," not to put too much stock into.

Hopefully movie-makers will wake the fuck up and start making some movies that actually do the games justice.

All in due time, I guess. Unfortunately the Western world doesn't put as much conviction into their fiction as, say, the Japanese do with their anime. We've got a lot to learn.

what game-movie do you think would be the best if they could?

They're doing the Halo movie now, and Im pissed because they are going to be using Live Actors. Im going to see it despite, but at the moment Im certain I'll be dissapointed. Halo, could be an amazing movie if done properly. The first thing would be to do it in CGI, but thats already out the window.

Besides, almost all videogame-to-movie translations arent very good, or dont do the game justice. Doom, Final Fantasy(probably the best yet though), Silent Hill.

I heard that they have made/are making a pacman movie

... is tha even possable, or is it a urban ledgend?

i watched the movie a couple times and then played the game a couple times...they did what they could....no hard feelings on that
