Chaos in your mind.
I know. I hate having to click on a link to watch a YouTube video too.
Terence McKenna was a shaman. Meaning he experimented a lot with entheogens and was basically a modern-day philosopher. Now I haven't done a ton of research on him but I did come across these videos of his speeches on YouTube. He explains ideas which I really took to and understood well. I hope you do too.

I finally listened to that and, once again, everything he says is so true. Especially the badtrip part.
"The great place to get to on cannabis, and some people never in their whole life touch it, is the place where you say, "My God! I've done too much!". It's not easy folks but it's worth shooting for."
Intresting.
However. Basically it looked to me as: Don't do what society wants you to do, but do what You want. In a non-selfish/anarchistic way ofcourse.
Well. I on a lot of sides agree with that. Fuck stuff like looking like a famous person to be 'cool' too. Fuck getting a car to be cool. Fuck getting a job just for money and so people you don't know look up to you.
However, ideals aren't always silly. An ideal, a wanting, to be a 'player' or rich, that is. But wanting a better world for all people, that sprouts from your morals, from your 'love' for all other people.
That first movie sounded to me like you should abandon all systems, because they are ungood, like the system of 'being cool like 50cent'. However, some systems, like a system that promotes a world that is better for all, should be supported.
It's hard to explain drunk, but you get the point. I do agree that most of what society wants from people is silly. Oh, I have a bigger car then my neighbor, way cool... Be your own cool, indeed.
