You can count on Pat Robertson to make even the farthest fringe wackos sound half sane, and this is a man that people actually listen to:

"Just like what Nazi Germany did to the Jews, so liberal America is now doing to the evangelical Christians. It's no different...More terrible than anything suffered by any minority in history."

Yes, no longer having a TOTAL monopoly on law and governance and no longer being sacrosanct from ridicule are directly equivalent--worse, much worse!--to being worked to the edge of death on a ration of gruel, living at the whim of your captors until you're forced to dig your own grave.

And of course the classic:

"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians."

Sure, Pat, THEY'RE the evil ones.

What's even scarier is that Pat Robertson isn't a comedian. One of my friends never heard of him and when i showed them some quotes, they thought he did a parody act of evangelicals. When people think you're not even being serious, you're being completely ridiculous.

Oh my god. This is why I don't watch the news, even though I probably should at this point. I can't believe some of the just completely unnecessary hateful shit people spew. As much as I'm all about world peace and shit, sometimes I wish someone would just kill all of these stupid motherfuckers. What's worse is, I hate that those idiots have the ability to piss me off this much, which in turn pisses me off more that morons like these have actually succesfully affected my mood.

Amazing. And sad.
