Begun in 2008, the study intends to treat 12 patients (eight who will receive LSD and four a placebo).

I would be so sad if I signed up for the study and got the placebo I'd know it in a second.

Yeah, wow. About time is right. I was reading the book "The Holographic universe" by Michael Talbot not to long ago. And i remember he went into detail about the work of Dr. Stanislav Grof, Who administered LSD to patients as a psychotherapeutic tool and recorded their thoughts for the entire session. Grof was blown away by the findings on how well his patients paralled what they regressed to.

Great news. LSD in Psychotherapy has helped sooo many people off of Opiate/Heroin and alcohol addictions as well as helping people let go of Traumatic experiences that mentally harmed/disfunctioned them... It is a shame it's scientific/psychological research was halted by the fools of the DEA.

Frankly alot of psychiatric patients, suffering from psychosis, schizophrenia, manic depressive moodswings, derealisation, confusion..etc and the psychiatrists and psychologists treating them really have no idea how to help them.

Allthough they pretend to know how these people can be helped, in reality Psych wards just lock these people up, forcefully try to re-condition their behavioural patterns and drug them silly... This does anything but help these people. These people aren't listened to, and are still suffering and are now also being conditioned like disobediant pets; Something that only further washes them down the Psychological drain.

LSD, as well as Psilocybin Mushrooms, Cannabis, Ayahuasca/DMT and Peyote all have the effect of revealing the spiritual/energetic nature of our being and so showing us the cause of our own behavioural and emotional (dis)functioning.

These entheogens produce an Ego-less, unbiased, unobstructed introspective experience. All behavioural, mental and emotional disfunction(authism, schizophrenia, Psychosis, what have you..) has a Spiritual/Energetic motivation caused by emotional/Psychological stress.

This "stress" are traumas which people have been inable to accept and let go. Energy that doesn't flow through, but got stuck and is forming a barricade. This lack of "energy circulation leads to a rising pressure of spiritual energy. Like if you step on a gardenhose it starts blowing up like a balloon as more water flows in but can't get past the part you stepped on. And eventually: BANG!

This is much how spiritual barricades puts one's awareness under pressure(resulting in disfunctional emotions, behaviour and thoughtprocesses) until it explodes(Psychosis, Depressions, Burn Out's, Mania, Delirium..etc)

What I find so ideal about Ayahuasca/DMT, Psilocybin Mushrooms, LSD and similair entheogens is that by dissolving one's Ego(their main, common action) they do not only show you an unbiased, introspective view of yourself, but they also dissolve your stress barricades so you can let them go and energy can flow freely through you again.

Because the Ego and these psychological/emotional stress barricades are one and the same. Entheogens dissolve the Ego, so it dissolves the serveral spiritual barricades that together form the Ego.

Ego can form in experiences of psychological stress. And luckily Ego can be dissolved and removed again by the ceremonial use of Entheogens.

This is why instead of illicit, illegal and demonised substances, these substances should be the holy grail(s) of Psychotherapy and healing people of psychological/emotional ailments. It also allows Psychologists and Psychiatrists a much better, deeper view into the hard to grasp "deeper layers" of the Human Mind.

Looks like LSD has returned elsewhere as well...score.
